I knew Bonham was out of position but I didn’t realise how far.

And how leaden his feet were.

Is the exact opposite of what we should do .

  • This Luton game is one I want us to go out and win. Strongest team available please. Rest players later if needed. End Luton's play-off hopes and put a marker down.

Why is nobody commenting on Tutus wank defending? He doesn't make any attempt for the ball. It basically hits him.

How has somebody watched this and had a go at Toal?

Correct and also another reason why Sheehan plays every game.

He looks after the ball better than anyone else we have and he "wins" the ball back more than his fair share of times. Maybe not as a tackler, but by reading the game and cutting out the pass or by covering behind the defence when they've attempted to get in behind the full back for the eleventieth time.

Spot on.  The number of times he wins possession by reading the game and being in the right place at the right time.  And his tackling is also underrated, accepting that he sometimes gets it wrong and takes an unnecessary booking (another one yesterday and thankfully it wasn't followed by another, which could have happened with that ref).

But the tackling of EE is a bit overrated too.  For all he's our best defensive midfielder, he can be as clumsy as Tomo was at times.

Because he has shouted ‘keeper’ and they are all waiting for him to catch it.

I’ll guarantee all Bradford’s corners will be hit beyond the far post

When Johnston plays LB he doesn't get caught out by balls over the top.

The freekick that led to Bradford's goal 8 days ago?

Think it's happened at least once in every game - leading to a goal or a chance - since about February. I doubt it'll change if we stick two dodgy left backs out there rather than one.

Yes he does. He's worse than Conway

Cyrus right back and tutu left back is an option- not saying it will work. I would bring GJ back at left back

Conway's a wing back and Johnston is a left sided centre back.

We were always going to run into trouble trying to force them into a back 4.

You can argue all you like about who's worse than who but ultimately, the problem isnt the players, it's them being forced into a role neither are fully suited for.

The only reason Tutu doesn't get exposed for the same reason on the right is because of his pace and ACD helps out abit more.

Gale and Cissoko ain't doing that on the left.

I've already said the solution earlier, it's not because i like it but because recruitment decisions made by the team.

Tutu needs to be much stronger there, he's been outmuscled too easily

Stop talking sense on here ........Waiting for the meltdown when GJ, Dempsey and TuTu are release and Toal, Mcatee, Schon and Randal are moved on.

I'm waiting for the meltdown when we get promoted but don't sign Kenny or ACD, but shell out millions for Cissoko. You know something like that is coming 😆

The free kick that led to Bradford's goal was him not getting beat though. He might have given a free kick away but the ball didn't sail over his head and the guy then had a free run on goal.

He's clearly going to get long balls at him because he's not particularly tall but I can't remember one going over his head and the guy being clean through.

Feel free to find some footage because there's a fucking lot this season on Conway getting caught out.

I thought he was fouled

Toal was definitely fouled. Tutu borderline but he didn't even try to clear it or flick it out of play.

There's one on the first half were Kasey Palmer hits the bar. Ruben is marking him and he just looks at him and has no idea where the ball is.

But that's what he does. Despite the three at the back being most secure, with wing backs, he won't as it comprises what he wants up the pitch.

He has had a season and a half to get it right and here we are? But it's the same bollocks as Evatt for me, just in a an alternate formation.

We set up uber attacking, yet we are the 6th top scorers in the division and only scored 2 more than bloody Barnsley FFS! So the risk isnt worth the reward, and this was always Evatt's issue.

One thing I would agree with SS about, at least the stats back up his philosophy, i.e. lots of chances which rarely was the case with Evatt. However after 18 months of the same issues and the infuriating monotone 'what needs to improve' rhetoric from SS. We never hear him articulate the 'how' he is going to change it.

And the media chuckle brothers dont help, never ask any probing post-match questions, i.e. 'So Steven, for the umpteenth time your left back has been caught up the pitch and we've conceded down the left with a basic ball over the top, thoughts??'

Grumpy as, bad week for me to forget to order my meds 🫪

I might listen to some of that once we know we aren’t getting promoted. But until then it’s pointless.

Might be wrong but just been reading on one of the Bradford forums they’re going unreserved for everyone for the away leg and moving us into the stand on the side so they fill behind both goals. Nice bit of shithousery there

I agree with a lot of what you say here, but i have said i will back SS this coming transfer Window because basically we still have Deadwood from the Evatt era to off-load. All of SS/FH signings have not worked but despite what others have said he was not backed to the hilt......SS/FH generated money last Summer but you can see from certain loan players that they are trusted to bring a gem in

Yes we have brought some shockers in and i think not much thought was given in January over goalkeeping recruitment but they will have a massive re-building job this Summer no matter which league we are in

Need to keep up with the rest of the threads 😉

That goal is almost identical to Dalby's first v Barnsley! Credit to the superb delivery for both goals, great headers as well as poor marking and goalkeeping.

There's more chance of Lofty the lion starting on the left wing than Conway.

2 decent runs foward 8 months ago doesn't warrant him being anything close to a left winger or decent wing back.

He's barely capable of playing as a normal full back.

If you're not having him fair enough, and 100% he isnt a left back, but in an away leg, even with his modest defending, he will be 10 times more use than Cissoko when they have the ball.

Yesterday he wandered about, towards the play on the opposite side, like a pub player, leaving Jones to walk up the wing into the wide open spaces behind him. He is as big a liability as Gale.

If in that second leg we have anything to defend, Cissoko or Gale aren't going to help us to do that in any shape or form.

Not in the least....I made a comment Thursday which  was nothing more than my opinion. You then came on and mentioned  three random names......In short you tried to belittle what was just my view on how SS should set up against Luton.

Then Saturday night you went into overdrive calling it a shit show.

Move on to Sunday you once again come out with bollox......You normally are level headed and see things on both sides

The only dicks are those who are wrong time and time again pal

I think the last 12 times we've scored first, the other team have scored second in 8 of them. Plus Barnsley where we did our best to throw away a three goal lead, Exeter where they got it back to 2-1 (Bonham error) and Stevenage who had a bunch of chances with 10-men until we killed the game off.

Maybe things would be different if we set up differently. But I'm not convinced and I'm definitely not convinced SS sees it that way. We've shown zero ability to hold on to narrow leads all season - unless we go ahead in the 90th minute.

I can't see a world where we take a lead to Valley Parade and try to sit on it. The best players in the team are all attackers and so I'd expect us to go and try to score again.
