Think it was Reading early season and XS and EE ran a master class for about an hour, but once Reading pressed and chucked an extra body in there we were over run. EE over 200 appearances 5 goals XS 87 appearances 4 goals Sheehan 320. Appearances 29 goals So 600 combined appearances and 38 goals. As individuals it is not a problem but as a combination scoring 1 goal in 15 between them puts a lot of pressure on the forwards. Just got numbers from wiki so might not be 100% but have 3 midfielders who hardly threaten is going to be a worry. To be fair to Xav though, he was unlucky with a few shots early in the season and if they’d gone in who knows? He’s certainly got a shot on him and hopefully if he can get back to form his luck might change.

May 7May 7 Just been shopping and bizarrely someone walking past says "good luck against Bradford". Forgotten I was wearing my Bolton top. Had a nice 2 minute chat with an Ipswich fan..his FIL is from Bolton.
May 8May 8 It’s a lottery now. At the start of the season I thought we’d be in with a chance of finishing top two, but all those draws and occasional shit show soon tempered my optimism. January signings gave me hope again but mainly I found myself hoping we’d turn up every game and produce the kind of performance we are capable of - and we definitely have the makings of a top team on our day, especially if everyone is fit. But they’re not. If we had CBT, Kenny, Dalby and ACD on the pitch at the same time we’d have enough in attack to scare the shit out of any defence and enough variety of forward passing options to justify the defensive sacrifices Schumacher demands but it wasn’t to be. So now I’m back to hoping for tactical astuteness and top team and individual performances to drag us over the line. Please let it happen - could be our last chance if we’re losing money in L1.

May 8May 8 Flights already at £170 and train is at £120 and will soar up the night before we’ve even qualified if Stockport get through coach or drive it is. Fuck me if people can’t be arsed getting to the reebok for 8pm on a sat there’s no way they’ll be at Wembley for 1pm on a Sunday 🤣 Edited May 8May 8 by barrycowdrill

May 8May 8 Quite happy with going down Saturday morning and plenty of train options after the game Be an early start for the coaches though

May 8May 8 Never any thought about taking supporters travel into consideration no matter where they travel from

May 14May 14 Stockport took 10,000 fans against Luton in for the Trophy. There maybe won't be as many as we think on the trains.
