I’ve never really bothered with pre season games abroad that much but, still on the high from Wembley, I’m popping to Slovakia with lad & dad on 17th July to watch us play (as we’re away for all other friendlies)

Theres an official thing with destinology but i’m booking our own route.

For those thinking of heading over, it’s worth noting that Dunajská, where the game is at, is about 2 hours away from Bratislava on the train. Hotels in Dunajska are cheap as chips (£90 for a triple room with breakfast) for the day of the game on the 17th & saves the hassle of getting back to the capital after the game.

I've televised alot of pre season games abroad and European teams are generally 1-3 weeks ahead with the start of pre season training, so normally sharper and fitter especially in these early summer games, so no panic. It's just a run out

1 minute added time after half the Slovakian lads have gone down with "cramp" is comedy.

Never mind. Second half much better. Bit of a gap between what you might call our starting 11 and some of the squad on that showing though.

Thought Warren looked a lot more up to speed than his early cameos last season. Wonder if he's in Schumacher's plans?

Believe the new lads looked decent, whilst the bomb squad didn't do themselves any favours.

Their goals ..

Second half a lot better, their lads clearly wanted to beat a big (in their eyes maybe) English side and put a lot into it. We worked them a lot harder and looked much more steady at the back.

Watson showed some decent bits, gave it away an odd time but also put some good tackles in. Ding Dong not bad in flashes, got some ability, started move off for our goal

Young lads decent. Defence looked more solid second half....Like Rodrigeus nasty streak Watson and Ritchie both good.

Davies and Forino steady........They were awful and shithouses very Stevenage

Take Dalby, Stephenson and Sheehan and perhaps The lad we got from Hull and none of the rest are Championship ready from that first half team

Certainly time in my view to write off plenty who started first half usual suspects....Lower lg1 or lg2 players

They can train everyday for the next 12 months but they simply are not good enough

Two or three supposed to be in the shop window.....Would you look twice at any of them on tonights showing and they are not the only ones
