Wigan away in the 80's two years in succession.

We also had a 12.30 kick off at Orient in the early 90's

It was an 11am at Southend on Boxing day I remember. About 1990? We drew 1-1 & Scott Green scored.

Saw a few clubs Wrexham “fixtures” on twitter. Supposedly a cock up on the Wrexham Ticketmaster site.

First 4 games ...

Pompey away , Boro at home , Millwall at home, Saints away ,

0 points , 1000 miles travelled and everyone suicidal .

Probably just them getting ready for 26/27, the draw's not done until the day before it's released publicly

I dreamed Southampton at home

Someone was suggesting it was just each club in its alphabetical order, which given the date of that fixture, might be right

We played them on Boxing day in our division 4 season. I remember it only because a Wanderers fan got a taxi back from there and tried to do a runner when they got to Bolton! No idea of the KO time though

Was that the one where we had four different types of weather on the open end?

Just a reminder that there will be no Easter fixtures next season or this season whatever you prefer as FIFA have scheduled the March international Games over this period

It's weird and shit.

But great excuse for a holiday.

Starting to get the buzz about fixture release day already. One of the highlights of the year

8 days to go

As soon as they drop:

"A difficult start and we need to get some top players in now, or we will be adrift at the bottom.."

The FIFA international fixtures are on the same weekend the usually are, Easter has moved to try and distract attention from the football.

I've only realised today that the 1st round of the league cup is on the Saturday before the season starts. I'd assumed it was midweek. Should make for a better than usual crowd?

Probably also a stronger than usual line up (for both sides) as the cup match normally comes between 2 league games and means a load of changes and resting of anyone likely to start both league games (Inwood, Warren and Lawrence started last year). The last game before the season starts is often treated as a full dress rehearsal, probably a full strength team.
