It's more expensive to watch Bolton than Man Utd and Man City - I DO blame my f*cking club.  So it's okay for us to get f*cked over, as long as Jay Jay & co get their ??20-30k a week....................is it b*llocks.

Bolton Wanderers are in debt due to poor business decisions, and I DO NOT agree that the fans should be paying the prices they are to sit in a half-dead stadium in the middle of f*cking nowhere.

Middle of f*cking nowhere....whoah, that's god's little acre I'll have you know. Where all the beautiful people (if possibly a little interbred) live!

ffs, real world time

some things aren't going away

we have a debt - how/why is not the issue - which needs to be repaid

we have a stadium - built in the wrong place - but it is the only one we have or will have for generations to come

top prem players demand the going rate

if you can't/won't pay the price to get in, that's up to you

i know the thread is how to improve what we have, but certain things aren't going to change

btw...it's 23 at oldham - relatively, 30 quid doesn't seem too bad

if price is people's problem what do you do if in fantasy land they do put the prices down, our income decreases (because people find another excuse not to go), we can't afford the wages of top players, we attract a lesser quality player, we then lack ambition, with this as an excuse less people go to the game, crowds drop, playing staff standards drop, we get relegated, less people come, because they're not paying to watch div one shite after the board allowed us to go down by lacking ambition and not signing top quality players when we were in the top 6, but then we end up back in league one where some on here wish we were, but then they find out it's ??23 to watch rotherham away so no one goes away anymore and no one certainly goes at home games because we're not paying to watch swindon for the same it use to cost to watch fulham, but prices won't drop just beacuse we go down, because we need another way to make money now we don't get sky money anymore but that's ok beacuse Dean Holdsworth doesn't command such a big salary anymore, people then stop going because the club is going backwards

well dont know if it is a wind up, but had a reply from phil gartside asking to meet, surely this is a wind up.

Can you check the address that the email came from? No matter how good a con maybe, they will not be able to send a reply from the BWFC email server.

If it is a true email, any chance of posting it on here for us all to be shocked and amazed at - obviously delete out any date and time of the planned meeting - unless you want 500 turning up ;)

it will be genuine

i also think owt sent in confidence really should stay like that, for now

i agree, knowing mount skipper i am sure he is capable of putting over the points raised on here in a constructive manner. (that is serious in case in sounds sarcastic)

all we want is our club back :D :D

i do not think you can over estimate the impact of television on the modern game, it had put ??ms into the game which in tune has gone it players and agents pockets.

I have said this before but how can chairmen of football clubs who have allowed television dictate kick off times and dates of games and effectivly run the league then complain if fans take advantage of the services the TV companies offer ?

We can all harp on about the good old days but back then watching Bolton on national TV was a real treat, how much we would have given then for 5 minutes on Match of the Day as it used to be called. Now by 10 o'clock on a Saturday you can watch virtually the whole of the game on Sky.

People have been given a choice, the match is better then watching on TV everytime but TV is cheaper, more comfortable, more conveient and easier to get home from.

Give people a choice and you can not complain if people exercise that choice.

sorry if im going over old ground here , but i was in one of the boxes on sunday the one next to the scoreboard , i was invited there by a bolton scout (wont mention his name) as my son signs for wanderers u`9s in april so it was a good gesture for him to invite me , anyway my point is when i was stood up at the glass window watching the game (having the piss taken out of me by my mates in the e,s,l)i noticed a steward ejecting a lad (who had his kid with him !!!)just for showing a w**nk sign to fulhams goalkeeper , and also the prick who walks up and down the steps telling everybody to ragging sit down , im sorry ,but to me that was a ragging joke !!!!! does a wank sign really offend anyone ??? if it does im so sorry but you should not even be going to a ragging game , as for the steward who tells everybody to sit down , did he ever go to burnden , i doubt it very much , in my opinion it has to be the stewards that have spoiled the atmosphere at this club until they fcuk off from be over zealous im sorry but the reebok will get worse , remember when we used to whistle the tune to laurel and hardy to the coppers when they walked past the embankment in their numbers , you dont hear that anymore ! good call. them were the days when the old bill used to march on the pub when you were on the a.t's & everyone whistled that tune. Problem with our pub was there there that many still in the boozer the ink would have run out of their pen before they'd got all the names at the bar.

also ive got a son about the same age as that lad did , are you saying that my lad is a scrote as well !! [-X [-X

Kicking him out is heavy handed I agree, just questioning what sort of bloke would do that in front of his kids.

I'm probably an old fashioned bugger but hardly setting the lad an example is it?

Mick, a bit of swearing and the odd hand gesture never hurt anyone. The kid will hear and see worse in the playground.

It's that sort of thing that has spoiled it for me, it's become so sanitised.

I can see your point about a dad doing it in front of his kids (although to be honest I'd probably do it) but it's a short step from that, to dad telling the fella a few seats away not to swear, then asking them not to make gestures, then it's don't shout or move at all. We are not watching ragging opera.

Throwing someone out for the w??nker sign - it's absolutely ragging embarassing. I'm ashamed to be associated with football if that's the stage we've reached.
