Traf Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Ian Greaves, did a job for us last time round. Haha Is he still alive? anyone? Still alive, but must be mid 70's to 80 by now.
momomo Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Still alive, but must be mid 70's to 80 by now. Im only joking about manging us as everyone else seems to have been mentioned. Good to read old greavsies still alive though.
Guest as Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 He's spent plenty money but most clubs have done since Sky started pumping the money in.Bolton had a team of similar standard to the ones Souness had at Newcastle and Blackburn when Allardyce left.Hiring Souness would have had us in mid table at the worst with our easy start in my opinion. I'm glad you're not chairman.........we could go the whole way and install Osama Bin Laden as our PR guru.

H Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 Steve Bruce anyone ? His loss of job could coincide with LSL's
boltonways Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 Steve Bruce anyone ?His loss of job could coincide with LSL's My neighbour Steve Heyes - he says he can do it. He's got the experience Walkden / Swinton juniors in the early to mid seventies. How about this guy then for manager?
SatanGreavsie Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 I'm glad you're not chairman.........we could go the whole way and install Osama Bin Laden as our PR guru. He's an Arsenal fan apparently. And Hitler went to Everton games when he lived over here for a while. I think they should both be relegated on that basis.
carrick loyalist Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 I have said before "John Collins" at Hibs, he had to sell many of their top players pre season and today they beat Rangers !!! Take him out and who is left, Hoddle, Reid,Jewell, Bothroyd,eh eh eh eh wilkinson,eh eh eh Robson, eh eh Neal, eh eh eh !!!! Make a move now before maybe Wigan see the light. Rite, all said and done most of you will be thinking give Lee a chance, but i'm afraid no matter matter what the result tomorrow is, the wee man is not upto to the task of managing a Premier leaque club "YET".
Superwhite Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 I have said before "John Collins" at Hibs, That's the second time you've put his name in inverted commas. Is it a pseudonym?
revdishydave Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 That's the second time you've put his name in inverted commas. Is it a pseudonym? i have a rash on my "john collins"
Guest as Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 So there's nobody? Oh well, the Championship beckons...........at least our manager will be 'positive'.
Pablo Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Jewell as assistant and Howard Kendall as coach - get him back on the booze LEG(less)END! The Dome!
Dexter Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Djorkaeff has just passed his coaching badges apparantly. I'd go for him. BTW WTF happended to Bruce Rioch?
Traf Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Djorkaeff has just passed his coaching badges apparantly. I'd go for him.BTW WTF happended to Bruce Rioch? Rioch was in charge at BK Odense in Denmark, but resigned last Easter to look after his terminally-ill wife IIRC.
Campos_Wig Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 FFS why go from one inexperienced manager to another Djorkaeff has just passed his coaching badges apparantly. I'd go for him.BTW WTF happended to Bruce Rioch?
tylswhite Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 FFS why go from one inexperienced manager to another Because when somebody in the class of Youri Djorkaeff speaks i would imagine players would listen whereas when Sammy Lee speaks they all probably stare at the translator!
jayjayoghani Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 FFS why go from one inexperienced manager to another The inexperience isn't a problem - just don't think he's very good. Roy Keane didnt have any experience 13 months ago.
Casino Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 The inexperience isn't a problem - just don't think he's very good. Roy Keane didnt have any experience 13 months ago. did have big money though
SatanGreavsie Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Roy Keane didnt have any experience 13 months ago. aye but then he didn't start in the Prem. Whatever else might be said about Allardyce he did it the right way - some piddly Irish team then Blackpool then Notts County.
jayjayoghani Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 I reckon Keane or anybody who has any chance of being successful, would not have done any of the following:- Played Vaz Te instead of Diouf Persevered with Cid when he's obviously struggling Ditto Nolan Have home and away coaches Omitted Campo from the UEFA squad Ditched a successful formation in favour of a romantic notion we're good enough to play with 2 wingers and 2 strikers - then play centre midfielders as wingers anyway. Too many basic errors for me.
Casino Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 I reckon Keane or anybody who has any chance of being successful, would not have done any of the following:- Played Vaz Te instead of Diouf RVT was the star of pre-season, and I believe Diouf was cocking around when others weren't Persevered with Cid when he's obviously struggling the blokes on a 4 year deal - he gave him about 5 games Ditto Nolan theres no goals in the team, nolan can score - granted it was about 2001 Have home and away coaches madness if its as it seems Omitted Campo from the UEFA squad the relationship may have been so far gone as seemingly beyond repair Ditched a successful formation in favour of a romantic notion we're good enough to play with 2 wingers and 2 strikers - then play centre midfielders as wingers anyway. gave the customers what they thought they wanted theres little doubt in my mind hes fucked up bigtime, but theres nowt to say any replacement won't want to make his own mistakes too i cling to the hope he's learned some lessons
Guest as Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 Djorkaeff has just passed his coaching badges apparantly. I'd go for him.BTW WTF happended to Bruce Rioch? Youri could relegate us & I'd still chant his name But, as we said before, LSL is still in charge.............................I still hope he turns it around, no matter how p?ssed off I've been with him this season.
boltonways Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Youri could relegate us & I'd still chant his name But, as we said before, LSL is still in charge.............................I still hope he turns it around, no matter how p?ssed off I've been with him this season. The trouble is time is ticking. The next three weeks decides whether we stick or bust. If we go for a new manager he has to have experience at this level. Get to Christmas and theres no point in sacking Lee
