The thing in the article that stood out for me was his statement "I am not blowing my own trumpet but if I don't say it nobody else will" speaks volumes for him he acknowledges that he is never gonna be flavour of the day,but fuck the lot of you I know I can do this GOOD MAN.

Hang on a mo. we're currenty 1 point off the bottom 3, if that's ok with you fine, but for me it's not good enough! Yes we appear to have played (!) well in the last 2 or 3 games, but our points tally is woeful. If we beat everscum (which, in spite of the last few seasons results. I expect us to) & then go on to pick more points up on a more regular basis than we currently experince, it might be time to start giving the man some credit, until then he is just blowing his own, very premature, trumpet.

Yes thanks,i am more than happy :good: Its not that bad,yes the first 2 games were shite but fcuk me i cant believe its the same team that played so bad

in the first 2 games but we have come on loads since then.

Would you prefer he stayed in his shell and not come out and showed a bit of confidence.Cant understand anyone having a pop for what he has said. :nea:

I think the timing is bad although there is no doubt he has brought a better blend of players into the club and reduced the wage bill significantly, but he was forced to change his formation due to the abuse against stoke which he should have done it months ago, add to that Elmander has been injured and he has been forced to play K.Davies in his rightful position, again seen months ago by fans, not so sure Megson is the magnificent manager tactician and club saviour he now seems to believe he is, all the changes he has made should have been made back end of last season. We are still in a relegation scrap and he should keep his trap shut until we are well clear, as this can only come back to bite him on the arse.

I like how he uses Tottenham as an example of a Premier League club to compare Bolton to.

Why not choose a club like Wigan or Burnley that also have more points but have spent less cash than he has?

Unfotunatley we'll never know whether he would have played a more attack minded formation from the 1st game of the season.

Gardner was injured & Lee wasn't ready, both of who have contributed massively to our improved preformances of late and who can say whether Elmander wouldn't have prospered with those two in the side. (unlikely I know) B)

He could win the Champions League, the Eurovison and cure cancer and still have his detractors.

Anything he does is picked to pieces and a negative spin but on it, often with references to the free flowing, total football of the Allardyce era.

To keep us up from the position he took us over was a mighty effort, fact.

Two years on an ageing team has been replaced at a net ?8m by a much younger one with resellable assets.

He's not going anyway, deal with it.

He gave as an example a club in the relegation zone - as Spurs were - who spent their way out of trouble.

Wigan were not in that position for the last few years and Burnley not even in the Premiership!

But don't let the facts get in the way of your Megson hatred.

Wigan avoided relegation on the last day of the 2006-7 and were in deep trouble when Steve Bruce was appointed. The comparison is perfectly valid.

Bruce was appointed in the 2007-8 season.

At the time they were only three points (one win!) off 14th place - hardly deep trouble.

Nice try at manipulating the facts. Wigan were 19th (relegation place!). They'd lost eight games in a row and hadn't won since the middle of August. By that time it was November. Definitely deep trouble.

Bolton were 3 points from 13th place when Gary Megson took over..

and now we're just goal difference away.

The more cynical amongst us would suggest he's improved us by just 3pts in 2yrs.

So by your own argument - as we were at the BOTTOM of the league when Megson took over - having won only ONE game in ten - then we must have been in 'DEEP TROUBLE' too!

Yet you hate Megson and think Bruce is a better manager - when Megson had the harder job?

And you claim I manipulate the facts!

Now you're being hysterical.

You claimed that a comparison to Wigan wasn't relevant. The facts show you to be wrong - as I've demonstrated.

You also seem very confused. Not once have I posted anything that indicates that I 'hate' Gary Megson.
