he`s only been there for 12 months ffs! it took him longer than that to get us going.

he could do a job there given time.......actually....... that reminds me of someone else........... :nea:

No it didn't. In 12 months we had been promoted and sat about 4th in the Prem.

it was actually more like 2 years (or his 3rd season)

that said

he had us in 3 semi finals within his first year

he's managed 1 so far with Blackburn...

didn't see the following, but when we beat City 1-0 on a Monday night when Diouf scored we took less than Plymouth used to bring to Burnden

Us: "we're all going on a european tour"

Them: "you'll only need one coach"

I remember that match

Apparently I was sat a couple of rows in front of you that night

Knock it down a notch or two and its similar to Megson at Bolton.

Not many Blackburn fans wanted FSA from the off but were prepared to give him time to get them out of the mess Paul Ince had left the club in.

Now 2 years on and the football is still typical FSA style, the natives are getting restless. Two of my mates who are Rovers season ticket holders have commented that Rovers fans have seen the end result of months of abuse that Megson suffered at Bolton and want some of the same.

Yes, they are above their station, where they belong and as good as its going to get but wasn't that what the world thought of us two weeks ago!

Fan power is on the move and its starting to arrive at the inbred town called Blackburn. Big Sam watch out!

funny how the memory plays tricks!

he arrived in october and was given a muted reception to say the least. it was a mid week match against crewe I think and it finished as a draw. there were no cheers that night. in that first season we scraped into the play offs and thus had to live thru barryknightgate. yes we got to 2 cup semi finals but i remember leaving tranmere after they thumped us big style (4-0?)and thinking what a faceless bunch of jonny foreigners he`d assembled. there was certainly no sign of what was to come at that point.

in his second season we got in the play off final and beat PNE but not after getting past WBA by the skin of our teeth after being 2-0 down where his substitutions were roundly booed. He took off our leading goal scorer and best defender to shore up the midfield which at the time seemed like lunacy but we hung on at 2-1 and nicked a last minute equaliser.

the rest is history!

and 18 months later, home to sunderland, live on sky, the natives got very restless

only a very late own goal saved him some serious abuse

the next time the mood dipped to such levels was a home game v watford when idan tal got us a last minute penalty

idan tal...fcuk me

im glad hes not a megson signing!

Bullshit, we spunked all over them in the 2nd leg 3-0 and could of been a lot more. Funny how you dont mention that :pardon:

well its hardly bullshit is it. i didnt mention it because we are talking about how things werent always rosy under FSA and the similarities to the situation he finds himself in at jackburn. if we`d lost the first leg 2-0 then we may well not have spunked all over them at all.

If I recall correctly, the change Big Sam made at West Brom wasn't exactly met with cheers and applause. 10 minutes it was 2-2 and the rest, as you say, is history.

It is such a thin line. IF the game at Wigan had been on, I'm pretty sure we could / should / would have won that game, and then hung on against Hull - we would now be 5 points better off, sat in mid-table and all rosey in the Megson household.

Allardyce has two games to save Blackburn career - exclusive.

Read more from Nixon here

He's fcuked.

Blackburn fans have started the ball-rolling and seen the "success" anti-Megson support had at The Reebok. He's never been accepted since day one but unlike with Megson, the Ewood inbreds have lived with him a little easier than we did with Megson.

The tide is turning now but FFS, they are a good few places clear of the drop zone and have a Carling Cup semi - if the media went mad at "us" forcing Megson out, imagine how they will react to this!

Ive never seen such a onesided game in my life as that one.

we looked like we would score at anytime.

Think Ricky G scored the 3 rd :yahoo:

Especially as Allardyce is a media whore darling

Nixon is claiming that he's about to dish some dirt on BSA. Seeing that they're currently getting beat, it may not be long before he makes his revelation

As for nicko's story, it just shows how quickly these things escalate, a few of us moaning on here and a couple of people claiming insider knowledge translates into nicko's story in the National Press.

A day later Talksport, looking for any scandal, catch up with it and it's on there all day.

Let's hope it has the desired effect and creates a siege mentality amongst management and players.

................................................................................

.............................................................

Get it right. For once.

I heard what was happening at all levels an hour or so after the Man City game.

Some concerned people supplied me with similar insights. Always grateful for that.

There is some key info - known to me - that hasn't come out yet.

It was. Watford outplayed us.

Bonus points if you can remember which Watford player gave away the penalty.

they've certainly got some problems having watched them on monday and tonight. very slow team and not many goals in them...gave villa a decent argument in the second half though
