Take Hunt Off Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 no no no no! i hope this is bullshit! tis a fact so get used to itas a squad player might be a 20 minute substitute with a trick or two in his locker
LeggyMountbatten Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/8246286.Wanderers_snap_up_Burnley_star/ I've always like Blake as a player but I wished we'd signed him aged 24 rather than 34.
onlyoneawalker Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 hmmm bit of a curve ball this one but could he come on last 20 mins at sunderland away whilst 1-0 down and get you a wondergoal for a point or deliver quality set pieces......yeah maybe........in coyle we trust
frank_spencer Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 We've had no back up beyond SKD, Elmo and Klasnic all season, Harsanyi and Vaz have been let go. As a back up on a samll wage i can't see a problem tbh.

We have Elmander and Davies, plus potentially rodrigo from madrid and coyle still wants another so at least this season we should have a few more option from the bench Edited June 30, 2010 by jonathan
Guest Frandsen08 Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 not a bad squad player to have, and he scored a beaut to beat the DMB's he'll do for me.
Scrappy Doo Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 whats the point of having an academy? some of those young lads must be thinking why bother if we're gonna fill the squad with a 34 year old has been? give some 18 year old a shot.
tylswhite Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Considering we only have SKD and Elmander as recognised strikers i can see why Coyle has signed him. If we are playing two up front we are going to need at least 5 strikers in the squad. He wont be breaking the bank and if he scores just 3 or 4 goals as sub he would be worth it.
bwfcol Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 We desperately need pace up front Apparently, Madrid striker has changed his mind and won't come, left back still a go-er though

frank_spencer Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 If he was on a small wage, he'd have stayed at Burnley, surely? Small wage back up in the champo, or small wage back up in the prem? you take your pick.
cbwfcd Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 If he was on a small wage, he'd have stayed at Burnley, surely? BN says he turned them down.

Coyle has said the Danny Ward will get his chance this coming season. Also what's the point in giving an 18yr old a shot if they're not good enough yet?
jules_darby Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 BN says he turned them down. Aye but because of the wage....so using that logic he won't be on that "small a wage" with us will he??
frank_spencer Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Aye but because of the wage....so using that logic he won't be on that "small a wage" with us will he?? Small wage for a prem side is different than a small wage for a champ side.
cbwfcd Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Aye but because of the wage....so using that logic he won't be on that "small a wage" with us will he?? .... for premiership football. Conjecture perhaps, but we will never know.
jules_darby Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Small wage back up in the champo, or small wage back up in the prem? you take your pick. Obviously But apparently he turned them down due to the contract offered, so I'm guessing we've offered more?
jules_darby Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Small wage for a prem side is different than a small wage for a champ side. Of course it is, and it's kind of the point...to get value, should we be offering more than his current club was (that operate at a lower level)
frank_spencer Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Obviously But apparently he turned them down due to the contract offered, so I'm guessing we've offered more? Perhaps we've offered less basic but better incentives. Or perhaps we've offered the same but as a premierleague player. Or perhaps we've offered a bit more but what is still a small wage for our budget.
jules_darby Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Perhaps we've offered less basic but better incentives. Or perhaps we've offered the same but as a premierleague player. Or perhaps we've offered a bit more but what is still a small wage for our budget. perhaps, perhaps, perhaps.... Not a good signing in any of those scenarios unless it's your 1st one and incentivised by appearances But seeing as he turned Burnley down due tot heir contract offer and this being his last pay day, I doubt it very much
HomerJay Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 i honestly dont care what the terms are the deal are. its a shite signing imo.
