Ghana White Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 they've done some shady shit over the summer, spoke to one of the players dads this weekend, it's not good at all. i wont be going again anyway mon the colls Just seen Hulme has left?? I thought he'd just been offered a professional contract?? Hope Chorley and the rest keep them down. Seen colls are playing rammy away on boxing day, bit of a downer that best way there is steam train. Hope it's not called off. Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 Despite the lack of steam trains and all associated fun and games, it's still an infinitely more enticing prospect than Middlesbrough away. Quote
Ghana White Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 What've colls done transfer wise? Rammy made a few good signings, I'm not completely convinced by the manager yet but it'll good to see him manage a team he's built. Radcliffe seem to be splashing the cash all of a sudden as well. Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 Retained most (all?) of last season's squad. Not many new ones but Iain Howard from Curzon arrives very highly recommended Quote

Hulme, Sam Walker and Billy Priestley all signed 2 year contracts before the season finished. They've all been told they arent in their plans and since and left. Quote
Ghana White Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 Hulme, Sam Walker and Billy Priestley all signed 2 year contracts before the season finished. They've all been told they arent in their plans and since and left. Well Harsh that. Priestley and Hulme have always seemed like really decent blokes. Hulme especially has done the business for them. Notice Hulme hasn't got a club yet, he won't struggle for one. Quote
Ghana White Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 Casper coming in is obviously a game changer for salford Quote

Some of them talking like they're already up. Quote
Carlos Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 Retained most (all?) of last season's squad. Not many new ones but Iain Howard from Curzon arrives very highly recommended Think Liam Wood and Sherlock are the two who've left. Lambo the left back that looks like a young Neil Lennon seems decent. A few new faces in the 2nd half tonight. Quote
athywhite1958 Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 (edited) Atherton Collieries take on a BWFC X1 tonight at the Kensite, 19.45 KO, outside bar as well as the clubhouse, pay on the gate, no tickets for this fixture this year Edited July 19, 2017 by athywhite1958 Quote
leigh white Posted July 29, 2017 Author Posted July 29, 2017 We only need nine men, against the wrong side today. Colls 3 COL 3, lost on pens 3-4. Quote
Sweep Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 (edited) Went to an FA Cup game today. Biggleswade FC lost 4:1 at home to Wisbech Town. £6 to get in, a whopping attendance of 126 people Absolutely shocking standard of football Edited August 7, 2017 by Sweep Quote
QFPants Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 £6??? Could have bought a Dortmund season ticket for that! Quote
QFPants Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Also great start for Chorley. Will never make my weekend if they win or ruin it if they lose, but still happy when they do well Quote
Horwich Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 Great win for chorley, especially with the nightmare travel down. Took them 5 hours and had to do the team talk on the bus Quote

Leyther_Matt Posted August 14, 2017 Posted August 14, 2017 I'll be at the Cols game tonight. Where is best near the ground for a bite to eat? Curry Pot opposite parish church. 5 minute food induced stumble from the ground. Or the aforementioned pie and peas. Quote
Carlos Posted August 14, 2017 Posted August 14, 2017 As you come off the M61 there's three pubs that do food on the A6 before you turn down to Atherton. Take your pick. Quote
tomski Posted August 14, 2017 Posted August 14, 2017 I was told the pound pub is closing? Sad if true. I had high hopes for this Quote
