A superb season. Top 10 finish and an FA Cup Semi Final.   Absolutely magnificent achievement with a lack of resources and one of the lowest supported teams in the league.   Well done OC, hope you

A point would have been fair, we were hit on the break too many times when were cramped in their half, good attacking, shite defending, both teams hit the bar and had loads of chances, entertaining game, however because we lost again and our away form it will add to the negatives.

Thought our full backs were terrible today, especially Steinnson, both Knight and Taylor- Fletcher could have been sent off. Taylor was excellent today, great goal and some awesome crossing.

The only way they can stay up is if they get a point at the filth and either Brum lose both remaining games or Wolves get tubbed at home by Blackburn.

Sunderland last week and Blackpool today 2 very winnable games. We would have been 7th if we'd won them both.

What position would it have been if Holden had done his knee in September rather than March?

Unless Coyle can pull off another superb signing like Holden or Wilshire to add to the midfield I can see next season starting like this one has ended. The midfield is pisspoor without him and neither of the injured Davieses are good enough to replace him.

It seems from all the negativity that Coyle should be applauded for getting us so high with such "crap" players. Football is all about ifs and buts. We have a great home record but shite away record. A better away record would have seen us challenging for the title. 90% of the teams are in the same boat as we are

If any of you are in Blackpool tonight ..... can you let me know what pub you're likely to be in .....via pm :good:

What a load of crap. Coyle takes the blame as much as the players.

Walked past just as 3 or 4 van loads of Tactical Aid Unit OB were donning their body armour. Looked to be a good place to avoid.

One or two United got some grief when we got off the train at Bolton.

He obviously knows the pit falls at the moment we have no midfielders that can put their foot on the ball. When everyone was fit everything was rosey now we have a few injuries it falls apart. That's what you get for having a small squad. You can't blame coyle for inept defending when there is no one else to put in

Or would you rather he bought a shit load of defensive players like the last regime

a proper cock hanging out moment, that is

he even signed the fella

There's only one injury seriously affecting us - Holden. M Davies wouldn't have made a great difference.

It's piss poor that one injury and the team can't function.

What?

Prior to FA Cup Semi, Wheater played in 9 games, of which we won 5, drew 2 and lost 2, conceding only 8.

is the problem

It is piss poor I agree. We just haven't got the players to sustain a prolonged period of form. Throw 500 million at it and we might just manage it

Stupid post suggesting we have to spend 500 million not to collapse like we have done. How much did Sam spend on the team that finished 6th?

I agree. It maybe that Allardyce is a better manager than coyle, but they wouldn't give Sam the money to take us on. Hence being left with ageing stars on shit loads of money. Plus in Sams last season we had 39 points going into the new year and won 4 out of the last 18. That's pretty shit also

Money has little to do with it, the manager and many of thd players have a fucking lot to answer for. Our current form, away especially, is simply unacceptable even for a team like us. Dropping Wheater, playing Elmander in midfield, signing Petrov and Alonso (?), persisting with Jussi, all questionable decisions.

We are were we are and I have enjoyed this season more than alot of others. It is going to have to be work in progress for the next few years. I am just happy that we are still in the prem

Say the board gave Sam a load of cash, do you really think it would've made a difference and we would be in the champs league regularly?
