Bolton Wanderers and England under 21's midfielder Fabrice Muamba collapsed during the FA Cup quarter-final at White Hart Lane as Tottenham Hotspur hosted Bolton Wanderers.

Fabrice 23, received medical treatment while on the field of play shortly after collapsing in the 41st minute of the game. Fabrice was then rushed to hospital as the game was abandoned by match official Howard Webb after consultation with both managers Owen Coyle and Harry Redknapp.

Our thoughts go out to the family and friends of Fabrice.

Update

Fabrice is stable although in a critical condition in intensive care in the Heart Attack Cente at the London Chest hospital.

Don't even know why, could of easily put a Spurs player on the back but I got an England shirt with Muamba on the back today.   Hello to you lot by the way, as you probably guessed I'm a Spurs fan!

  • Retiring the shirt is the most ridiculous thing I think I have ever heard.

Fair play to that guy who ran on to help, doctors and nurses are a different breed. Where most would freeze they rise to it and do stuff that is amazing. The spurs fans where also brilliant with us.

Gartside and Coyle looked stressed to fuck on that sky sports video and who ever has chose that advert to go at the start of the video on sky sports is a total fuck wit!!(

That yesterday was one of the most horrific and scariest moments of my life, stuck in the stand not knowing whats going on, fans in shock around you. Shuddering just thinking back to it.

Keep fighting Fab matey!!!!!

He had a tough start and it shows the measure of the man how much he's achieved already in his life.

He's clearly made of strong stuff. Thoughts are with his family.

Come on Fab, pull through this pal.

Stoke fans singing his name today. :good:

Football is and always will be a big deal in my life, but after watching last nights events unfold talk about putting things in perspective.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family fianc? & his young son Joshua tonight.

Also total respect to the Tottenenham fans last night who showed real compassion during what was one of the saddest scenes I have ever witnessed in football.

I hope to God We all have the opportunity once again to shout shoot Fabrice whilst he's baring down on goal.

Dig in Fabrice you have always been a fighter!

Nice to see fans at todays matches having a minutes applause and a nice touch from Gaz at Cheslski.

Praying for you

It is very overwhelming the football community pulling together like this, even juventus dedicated their 5 nil win to fabrice, Come on son stay strong

?We dedicate the victory to Muamba, as he is our colleague and we are all praying for him,? said Pirlo after a 5-0 win at Fiorentina.

Everything crossed we get the outcome everyone wants in all this.

Keep fighting lad, everyone is pulling for you.

You could put this great club of ours back in League 2 tonight if it meant this young lad making it. What does football matter at times like this? I don't very often pray Fabrice, but I'm praying for you and your family. We all are, I'm sure of it.

Said this on Fb yesterday but Football fans get a bad press usually..times like this show were not all twats!

Some really big name players from abroad tweeting bout fabrice, sneijder ronaldo etc.

Pull through fab!

I thought the worst last night, so relieved when the news came through that he is alive.

The lad is in the best place in the country that he could be and Im sure he will come out the other end in decent shape.
