Fairly certain no one is arsed, but we're still buzzing so I'm telling you all anyway.  We got incredibly lucky, thankfully! Weather was spot on and it properly set the tone for a perfect day, co

Round 2 shortly possibly, but if not it's definitely going to bucket down

The mother of all storms at about 3 this afternoon. Absolutely brilliant. Thunder, lightning and biblical rain for about an hour in East Manc. Finally the garden got some water. And it’s just come back again for another go. Amazing lightning!!

Fucking Hell. If this is heading Bolton’s way it is immense. Never seen rain like this and the thunder and lighting is summat else

Dog is under a blanket. Not even heard it yet, he must know poor sod

Just had our first rumble literally within a second of me loading lightningmaps!

Garage completely flooded for the second time today. Wellies needed to get a beer from the fridge in the garage

It’s the end of the world

I love this.  Just been on lightening maps and there is fuck all showing even though I can see and hear it?

Moving away now, seems to be hitting Ramsbottom/Rawtenstall now

Had to reset my WiFi extender twice because of the lightning. Pissing me off.

Looking at lightning maps there’s a big one heading North from the Midlands

Hopefully it will batter Stoke and Burslem and give those pikey cunts a good wash and a good jolt of electricity

Had loads of hits within a 5 mile radius of Leigh on LM, but they can't keep track and remove them within minutes.

More chance of a White Lightning map around Leigh, mind you it would probably crash.

You must like living in Leigh, or your commute from Bolton must have got difficult with your map.☺️

Are you on a phone/iPad or laptop?

If it’s iPhone/iPad just go to the settings wheel top right corner of the screen. The cog wheel

Map style - roads

Thunder - Max

Day/Night - Off

First of those four buttons top right of the screen.

Show Position - On

Follow - Off (although latest upgrade means you have to keep turning this off it seems)

Do all that and it’s easy. Or should be??

Perhaps he was doing it clockwise eh..

Like others, our lightning maps stopped registering some strikes; I think there is one option on the cog wheel where you can see the stations, and I think it says they're not always all on. Maybe that was something to do with it. Also wondered if it only registered land strikes and anything passing from cloud to cloud would be missed?

That storm in the Midlands, Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester, Nottingham etc was absolutely massive. Made ours look puny!

Could be some action brewing in a couple of hours
