Fairly certain no one is arsed, but we're still buzzing so I'm telling you all anyway.  We got incredibly lucky, thankfully! Weather was spot on and it properly set the tone for a perfect day, co

Just realised this is the weather thread and not the booze one

There's about five booze threads now.

All roads lead to ale in lockdown.

Mahou is what I’m partial to when I’m in Spain, or a pint of Tropical. San Miguel is shite

On draught I've found it to be the gaff rather than the actual ale being served (in Spain)...

I like Canarian loyalty to Tropical and Tinerfeno's to Dorada...

I prefer Tropical.

I also don't mind the limon as a alternative to pop.

Reminds me of Ting a bit. Probably just the livery and sugar content rather than the taste like.

Bud Lite is fucking awful, but I don’t mind standard Bud if it’s ice cold.

Michelob disappeared a few years back and I always liked that.

Italian lager is generally awful. Peroni is so metallic it feels like fizzy mercury.

Czech lager and Kölsch is my favourite.

oh, and Lost Lager by brewdog

Michelob was alreet, quite malty, forgot about that and peeling that annoying bit of paper off after you had your first swig...

Jerry's - circa 1996 (off Bradford Road) used to get shortdated but genuine American bottled beer in; Michelob, Schlitz, America's Best...

Watched us muller Holland during the Euro's Shlitzed up after about eight trips to his shop...

Sure it was only 60p or sommat.

I sometimes used to order a single Jim Beam and bottle of Michelob in the pub when I was a nineteen year old dickhead probably trying to impress a bargirl...

Thought it added an air of mystery and a possible American connection to my aura.

Probably saw it in some shit film.

I think it was one with Gary Oldman in, but I think the beer was Heineken...

State Of Grace.

That's it (without googling).

Wasn't shit either, then (not seen it since)

Standard supermarket lager, becks followed by kronenbourg

But, tbh, so long as its stone cold, theres not many i wont drink

Ill sup san miguel if its in a pub, but for me, hangover tackle

Kills me San Miguel as well. Two worst ever for me were kronenbrg and grolsch. Headaches for days. Not touched either for over 10 yrs. can you still get grolsch?

anyway been a cracking day. A lot warmer and more humid down here than back home as well

1664 is lovely but fuck me I reckon Keith Moon drumming on my head the next day would be gentler

Did a two week lads holiday on San Miguel can’t touch the stuff now

I have never had a headache like I have off Oranjeboom.

When I was living in Holland, I quite liked draught Jupiler.

Oranjeboom Oranjeboom, it’s a lager, not a tune.

hope nobody goes through the day singing and whistling the jingle. 🤣🤣🤣

Fell off the map in 🇬🇧 but still big in 🇳🇱

Sold it in the Vulcan

Pretty sure it was after the barnsley 2 2 that 2 youngsters got on the homeward train with a 24 tray each of unchilled oranjeboom

It wasnt the best ive ever tasted, but it was free

Garden looking a bit brown now...amazing after the wettest winter on record

Apparently, a Scottish water chap has been warning about using hosepipes on gardens. Continued use will speed up water restrictions.

Bound to happen.

Be rough if they start imposing brewing restrictions!

Use saltwater for salt beer

Kolsch is gorgeous but I've never had it outside Germany so no idea how it travels.

aldi do a very cheap German lager that conforms to the beer brewing laws. It's not awful and although I'm on the wagon I have found my thoughts turning to it more than once since the hot weather arrived. There's only so much coffee, fruit juice, cordial or pop anyone can drink before it starts to pall. Even tried a halfway event alcohol free wine last week.

Still, on the weather subject, my spirits have been raised by this fantastic sunshine. I've always enjoyed hot weather but this current snap has come just at the right time and made everything feel less grim.

i get the anxiety about viral transmission , but I think we may be fortunate in that it doesn't seem to be anywhere near as efficient at doing so in the open air. So maybe the news in 3 weeks time won't be as bad as we fear.

So yes the garden is looking like he Sahara, but am not moaning. I am out of the house and enjoying my pretend holiday.

Heating on

I like this weather. I hope the rest of the summer is like this.

I agree

My whole outlook on weather has changed since i forked out for a new lawn and watched it dry up despite watering it every evening

I find myself looking out the window cheering on grey clouds

I suspect you'll have some shrinkage gaps between the strips.

If so, get a bit of top dressing and fill the gap. The grass will quickly cover it.

So far as I know it's been dry hear since early morning

Just cut and fed the lawn in bright sunshine

Forecast was way worse than this, though it's still saying some rain at 3 ish which can nicely water in the feed

Lawn is currently 80% green..some round here look like bare wasteland
