He commanded a ?4.5 million fee from Leicester so someone there presumably thought he was ok?

I think for us to go unbeaten would be minimum 500/1 dont think it's ever been done in the championship in my life time.

 

Will give anyone here 500/1 that we get beaten by Christmas, and that's from someone who is quietly confident about our prospects next season.

Regarding this current team going unbeaten in the League next season I can't see it at all, no chance. The Colin Todd team that laid waste to that division was beaten 4 times (if I recall) and they would have pissed on this team, at a canter, on a bad day.

Aye. Including a 5-2 defeat at Southend! Birmingham and Reading away were slightly less ignominious, while Ipswich at home was just annoying.

the todd team was improved the summer we got promoted

 

it got about the same number of points coyles team got

The weakness in Todd's team was defence. Give me Blake and McGinlay any day though!

For me, Frandsen all day long, he was consistently good for several years. Holden is good, but not as good as many people reckon IMO

I guess we will never know Casino but I was astounded that Todd's team didn't make a fist of it in the top flight (but I was still young and full of hope back then). I still think if the team marching toward 98 points met the current team in current form it would be very one sided. That being said I hope I am wrong and that Coyle's team can recreate the achievements of Todd's and we will all be happy this coming season.

According to BEN it's Keith Andrews and he is poised to sign next week.

Not surprised by that but not sure I rate him file in "he'll do for a championship campaign" he did work his balls off in the Irish games I saw and I guess that is the highest level but he was chasing shadows alot

Not seen a lot of Andrews but seems to be made of the right stuff, club man, captain wherever he has been, and strangely for a defensive midfielder scored a lot of goals in the past few seasons, hope it's a 1 year deal at 31.
