mk, as a manc, would love that

just love it

totally agree with this.

i wouldnt consider OGS even for an interview.

not saying it wouldnt work but we need a low risk appointment and stabililty.

We've gone for both of these with our last three managers and shit out three times.

I see OGS is the favoured choice at the moment, is he any good as a manager? or has he just got lucky and have the best players in the league, also anyone have a clue as to what style his teams play?

looked into this guy and he seems to be doing it the correct way did wonders with united reserves then moved to molde who were fuck all and have turned them into champions. He also turned down an approach from Norway national team and villa to be manager saying time wasn't right and he is still learning. It would be a major gamble for us but one I would take IMO .

I wish these people who want OGS would explain why they want him ffs.

"hes done really well in Norway"

"he did really well as man utd reserve team manager"

"hes young"

waiting to hear anything else

Our last three managers haven't.

Yep what a sportsman,

3 lookilikes are

Mcclaren

Athers

Eidur.

Zico- if you were not with lads I knew the other day I would have tried to buy a big issue from you ;)

Big Sam.

Except the only one that says/sees Eidur is yourself :D

Afraid not pig

Me mum said so to an she's well ard

campo applies to for the job accoridng to sky....

Howard Kendall or Ian Branfoot

Sammy Lee was about as low risk as shagging the village bike with a colander on the end of your cock.

Owen Coyle got Burnley into the premier league, id say that was a pretty decent achievement. Did well in Scotland as well.

Take a team up = achievement. Taking a team up in the play-offs = lucky.

Big sans been very lucky over his years of management then And that Neal warnock as well. They must have Irish blood

Don't want anybody who has any ties to the club, fresh start now COYWM!

Any news tyls?

But have either of them actually won anything as a manager ? I'd say two league championship wins even in Norway trumps finishing fifth in what is really the second division.

Little Sam only got the job here because Garty had seen his arse about Big Sam leaving.

Ive heard nothing new today. I assume they have been/are talking to Mccarthy today and however that goes will decide what the board do next.

cheers mate

Winning things is relative though, the league he has won is a bigger pisspot league than Scotland FFS. Would you rather have somebody who has won the league in a tin pot league with a totally different culture or somebody who has already been there and done that on what we are actually trying to achieve this season?

Garty seeing his arse doesnt stop it from being a massive gamble when he appointed Lee.

Salford if you dont mind, you big Bury black pudding.

Has anyone else noticed that Michael Appleton's odds are getting shorter on all the bookies sites - he's now 3rd favourite on a few sites! Frightening!!

Why is he any more frightening than many of the others in the running? Did well coaching at West Brom and has done a heroic job of sorting all the mess out at Portsmouth and cobbling together a team out of a rag bag assortment of free agents and rejects. Might fit the bill for PG of 'young and hungry manager'

The no ex DMB brigade wouldn't be happy would they?

Whether winning thing is relative or not we haven't been doing it, and appointing Lee was the cheaper option. It was no gamble at the time, but it turned into one.
