Mccarthy ruled out according to Bolton News

He'll be in by the end of the week then.

so he hasn't been approached but would listen.

I think he could be swayed :D

thinking about it, I couldn't want di canio in more.

Fair to say that a self-proclaimed fascist might not be the ideal manager of a club in this particular town.

Not sure if thats sarcasm, but he'd fit right in!

if he gave us a 61% win percentage for the rest of the season, I couldn't give a monkeys who he proclaims to hate or otherwise.

It might be interesting at fans forums when some of our fans start giving it the billy big bollocks, as they do.

I'm not sure how good Di Canio would be, but it would make for interesting times that's for sure. I'm not sure he'll end up here though

Can see the ultra doing a job for us. This squad needs a Mr nasty right now.

I voted for Di Canio. He's a winner, his playing career means he shoudl have the respect from the players, he doesnt take any shit and I think Swindon play decent football whilst being ok defensively.

It would certainly be an interesting appointment.

I can smell Appleton it's a Gartside special - Allardyce, Megson and Lee were all "curve balls" to a large extent he does like to think he's looking a bit clever - although I can see why he might fit the bill it will be met with a big fat underwhelming sigh from most

no mention of Klinsman anywhere?

Di Canio would be a disaster .......... exactly what we don't need he might be able to bully the Swindon players but it wont work here .......careful what you wish for

Just seen di canio in tiggys.

Beat me to it...

AKA the cheaper option

I don't see it. As somebody else pointed out, Gartside must be under huge pressure to get this one at least somewhere approaching right.

Appointing a young lad whose experience amounts to little more than picking a team in the playground sounds pretty risky.

All join up for playing football, etc.

I dont see it either but is it any more risky that appointing someone from the manager-go-round who has been at numerous clubs but never really done owt?

I can't believe they're going to golden gamble on a young unproven manager. I'm gabberflasted.

Better someone who's done something than someone who may do absolutely nowt.

I didn't think Di Canio would consider but after today PG should put every effort into getting him, he's very organised, puts players in their place and gets them playing as a team. The rest of the candidates show no real ambition to me apart from OGS, who although is young and has new ideas has conceded 1.16 goals a game as manager of Molde in 2012, as opposed to Swindons 0.82 which includes going up a division. We need our defence sorted and can't rely on scoring more goals than the opposition with David Nogo upfront.

Di Canio would be fucking ace.

Entertainment plus, the mad bastard.

Di Canio needs to stay working in England as he's guaranteed entertainment.

Not sure I want him as bwfc manager as he's clearly batshit mental.

Di Canio IN!!

Just what we need, a neo-Nazi.

IAMOUT.

if we,re going down the allardyce type of appointment - then we,re looking at 3 keith hill , Di Canio , Appleton (at a pinch) , all same age bracket as allardyce was when brought in , with comparable managerial history , as has been said previously - by jules i think , there is no perfect choice and we can all pick holes in them 3 , but i just get the feeling thats the way we are going .
