Enzo - Fuck off with your facts, you know they are not welcome on here!

Nope, still dont understand people wanting somebody to manage our club who has only managed for 2 seasons in the norwegian league, so come on somebody who has voted for him, explain your reasons please

totally agree with this.

i wouldnt consider OGS even for an interview.

not saying it wouldnt work but we need a low risk appointment and stabililty.

what would you want a low risk appointment to achieve mid table? Surely there has to be an element of a gamble to get someone good in?

I dont understand so many people thinking we will struggle in the premiership if Mccarthy is appointed then got us promoted? Is there any manager in the world you can tell me who wouldnt struggle after getting us promoted? It wont be easy no matter who is in charge.

not saying it wouldnt work but we need a low risk appointment and stabililty.

what is low risk?

whatever it is, folk are expecting this next appointment to take us straight back up, otherwise that's automatic failure

as for stability - well, McCarthy would be here for the long term - as in, he wouldn't be poached so would be here till we sack him - probably in 3 years (if we go up, or not) unless he does a "Fat Sam" (unliklely)

As for Solksjaer - I imagine in the "footballing world", i.e. them that "know footbal"l, rate him v highly from his time as Utd reserves coach and Molde given he got them their first title - but if he does take it, it would be a stepping stone to bigger things, assuming he takes us up, so would expect him to be around for probably 3 years

so neither of them will likely bring stability as such, and neither are low risk - as we're 18th and need to get promoted asap...

McCarthy looks a better bet as he's done it before, but I bet Ipswich and Derby thought that about Paul Jewell

mind you West Ham knew what they were doing appointing Fat Sam

to be honest

I don't fucking know and am glad I'm not making the choice

as it'll be unpopular and Gartside will get slated it for it somewhere down the line

Well im not going to another game until Keith Hill is appointed.

I was speaking to a Blackburn fan last night.

Thick as fuck he was.

That's it.

I wish these people who want OGS would explain why they want him ffs.

"hes done really well in Norway"

"he did really well as man utd reserve team manager"

"hes young"

waiting to hear anything else

Shocking.

He's not Keith Hill

The more i think about it,the more i think Mick McCarthy would be the wisest choice for us at the moment.

He has experience in getting out of this division, and he won't put up with any prima donna powder puff performances from players.

In one.

To be fair I'm now up for anyone who doesn't centre all our attacks through Chris eagles and Chris eagles only.

I wish these people who want OGS would explain why they want him ffs.

Hopefully he'll bring something new to Bolton.A fresh approach.

Sam Allardyce was a punt after managing lower league teams.Who could have known?

Sick of the same old dead loss managers being bandied about all the time.

Mc Carthy is far from a guarantee back to the promised land.

The fact is whoever we pick it's a fucking punt....

I wish these people who want OGS would explain why they want him ffs.

Ditto Keith Hill please.

Micky Mellon for me.Proving his creds in lower league, and made Fleetwood very hard to beat.????

I'm Spartacus !

I went OGS. Out of that list I can't see anyone who is different. They are all much of a muchness and have, for the most part nothing to lose by coming to Bolton. OGS has plenty to lose, and plenty to gain, his opportunity to get a foot on the mangerial ladder in the 'best league in the world' being both.

I say give him a go.

Ditto Keith Hill please.

Explained it on another thread.

I don't care what the reasons are for Solskjaer, I just want to know what they are.

Out of all the people who picked him, have any of them seen a single game hes been in charge of?

Norwegian football is a lot more popular than i realised.

Its complete guesswork latching onto the fact hes been close to getting other jobs.

Its ironic really given the uproar when Gartside, Megson or Coyle use the "those in football" line.

Lemmings springs to mind

Hopefully he'll bring something new to Bolton.A fresh approach.

In that case, I nominate Adolf Hitler.

My first choice would be Mick McCarthy however he maybe a bit too old school. PG wants a young manager to continue following the plans put in place whilst OC was still here ( which I guess is develop young talent, bring them through the ranks and then sell them on for vast profits).

If McCarthy's face doesn't fit then I'd be glad if they took a risk on some one like OGS or similar.

Just please not Alex McLeish

In that case, I nominate Adolf Hitler.

Is he on the nonce list? if not he should be.

In that case, I nominate Adolf Hitler.

He's dead like McCarthy's personality
