March 29, 201313 yr Anyone would think him and Davies have something in common re-Gartside.... Not sure why they have - Gartside has overseen various contracts to Kevin Davies over the years. The only reason he hasn't done this time is that the manager doesn't fancy him for next season - or perhaps sees some other reason why he doesn't want Davies in the squad next year. The testimonial and the birthday stuff is window dressing (with rules in place to get the testimonial, as has been gone over endlessly). This is ALL about not getting a contract to see out his career here - and the possibility that he will have to uproot his family one last time. That gripe is down to Freedman. March 29, 201313 yr Both radio interviews were transparent attempts by talkshite to stir up (anti- Bolton) controversy. Testimonialgate was simply shit stirring by a gutter radio station & i thought that Mr Gartside in particular, dealt with them very well. I'd guess that anyone claiming to be upset by anything in those interviews would already have been pursuing either an anti-Kevin Davies or an anti-Gartside agenda. Everyone else should treat talkshite with contempt & continue to support SKD & the club.
