DazBob Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 Thats because if he has to form a committee they are all probably stoned as fuck somewhere. #generalisms Made me laugh Quote
Big E Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 In your eyes and many Bolton fans eyes it might but in Kevin Davies eyes it clearly has not been dealt with correctly, this was always an accident waiting to happen and needed handling with kids gloves and clearly it should have been dealt with better. So because he is a mars arse....similar to those spoilt cunts like Rooney we should wrap him in cotton wool? Quote
jonnycooper Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 KD comes out on Talkshite and say,s He has been speaking to other Clubs...Where the feck is His commitment to Bwfc.We have a few very important games coming up....It,s not all about KD...... Quote

MACCA Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 What a player he's been for us. So many great memories. Our club dont deal with such issues that well do they?? Campo, Djorkaeff and now Kev could have been handled alot better in a PR sense. Im sure he'll be appriciated more when he isnt here. Super Kev. Bolton legend. Quote
Guest bwfcdan Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 Gartside said that not Davies. Doesn't really make a difference though, it's poor on Davies' behalf. Quote
Rembrandt Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 (edited) I've had a suspicion for a little while that SKD thought himself bigger than the club. Despite his legend player status for us, he's been one of the least effective on-field captains I've seen at any level. Maybe the club were afraid to tackle that issue till he moved on or retired. It's puzzled me for a while - not that we're exacly brimming with contenders out of OC's poor squad. Sorry, Mounts, I disagree on this one. Sorry, SKD, you've just come across as a hen-pecked moaner. I expected more dignity and, well, balls.. Edited March 27, 2013 by Rembrandt Quote
jonnycooper Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 KD Said He,d spoke to a couple of interested Club,s....He,,s under Contract till end of Season so why start Whinging now..He will never imo appear competetively for BWFC again... Quote

No problem with anyone disagreeing with me, it seems most people on here side with Gartside I'm more sceptical for me I trust in KD version of events over Gartside as one comes over as decent honest and loyal the other comes over as devious and duplicitous so I will go with my gut feelings in this one and quite happy to be the odd one out. White Shirt Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 I honestly believe Kevin Davies lied on Talksport yesterday. I bet he's known for weeks he isn't getting a new deal. His wife's pissed up tweets on Saturday night which had miraculously disappeared come Sunday morning suggest that This testimonial stuff is a non-story which is being sensationalised by Adrian Durham as he has nothing else to talk about, of course he will be getting one. Poor way to leave this though, he's been brilliant for us but I feel he's a bit bitter about not getting a new deal. He'll be gone by tomorrow night. Quote

So it was a manager who is working to take us forward who doesn't want him. Seems fair. I know I seem to defend Gartside a lot but far more seem to just blindly slate Gartside and back the badge kissers Quote

Traf Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 BWFC could quite easily have told Davies they weren't willing to discuss his future until the end of the season. They could then have told him in June that he was no longer required, possibly meaning he'd miss out on a decent deal elsewhere. Bottom line is that as a slow 35yr old striker, he is surplus to requirements. Quote
onlyoneawalker Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 Well done Garty for showing some proper leadership today unlike our skipper and fronting up and telling it how it is I now hope Davies is loaned out he's made a right bellend out of himself Quote
tomski Posted March 27, 2013 Author Posted March 27, 2013 He's 36 and at the knackers yard for where we want to be. I'm saddened he doesn't see this. I love Mcginlay still but don't want him starting at Charlton on sat. I see little difference. Quote

SnoopJohnnyJohn Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 I've finally just listened to the radio interview. KD doesn't do himself any favours, but he is incredibly led by the radio interviewers. Mountain out of a molehill to be honest. Quote
