I think they did. HOWEVER, it was their biggest game since Tom Finney's days.

The place had a Man United superstore in the centre when I lived there.

preston sold out

we didn't

we were sat right next to their lot in the third tier on the half way line

plenty empty seats in our bit - we had the smaller end, too

i remeber us having 28 to their 33 but i might be wrong

You should be a detective.

Why, pray tell? Because I've worked out how to answer a post on a football forum?

You're right. Spot on.

I missed most of the second half as I couldn't remember where I was sat and was in the Preston end at one point. Came back out for the goals. Glory fan.

I can't believe it were 12 years ago now.

Top day that!! Miles better than the Watford final a few years before!!

Nay lad - your insightfulness in spotting what we all missed.

Bolton Wanderers are an average sized club.

Astounding powers of observation.

How many did we take against Watford in play offs, more than against Preston? I always excused the fact Preston had more due to the fact we had been to a few play off finals and they hadn't. Plus being a shit fan I didn't go Preston one, ended up watching it in a pub in Scotland but that's another story.

Not sure but Watford had miles more than us all with their new shirts on.

Of all our finals and semis etc, which was the biggest following to Wembley or Cardiff? I seem to remember Liverpool was 33,000?

Liverpool and Boro for the cup finals were our biggest followings IIRC, both sold out

remember fair few empty seats at Reading, Stoke, Villa and Preston

really don't remember much about Watford

The Venkys.....as described by someone on here earlier....the gift that keeps on giving

thats just odd to do that, but why would they make it public.

Bowyer

"The next six games are going to decide our fate," he said.

Really? you Fuckwit

Save Whelan on BBC Sport saying 'staying up is more important than winning a cup'. Now where have I heard that before? Recipe for disaster coming out with comments like that I reckon.

preston definitely had more fans at cardiff but for some strange reason we were by far the noisiest

Dave whelan is the only thing I think I still hate about wigan.

I agree with his sentiment but he just seems to be commenting on owt these days. Pipe down you senile old cunt.

whelan is probably the only chairman to take a small team to the premier league and keep them there.

it's the scroaty fans you should dislike.

Soundbite Dave? No thanks

He's a WINNER!

Didn't he break his leg in the cup final for Blackburn?

I've currently got the shits

It's nice to know Blackburn are in as much as I'm producing

it may have been mentioned before but the prick is calling for a minute's silence at this weekend's football matches for Haggie Thatcher. It'll be the only time the Scousers don't have a minute of hush

Didn't he break his leg in the cup final for Blackburn?

Na I've not heard that?

I've just had an email offering tickets for Millwall v Wigan in a "neutral" area.
