Site Supporter MickyD Posted June 25, 2013 Site Supporter Share Posted June 25, 2013 Hardly. Apathy prevails, Coyle magic working already Oh good Lord, is Coyle going to spout off on National telly how proud he is of little Wigan playing in the season's curtain raiser and how he's worked with the team and they're the best group of players he's ever worked with? gonzo
What are the odds on 5-0?? ...and the genius playing a striker In a 4 man midfield with two wingers?? I nearly crushed my phone with anger writing that last sentence. What the fuck was he thinking that day?? Good lord. Youri McAnespie
It was going to happen eventually, 'nice bloke' (put that on his tombstone) Owen getting another punt... Three 'positives' from the situation; The blinkers might be lifted finally from the 'he was unlucky' camp, the man is a buffoon who made many pine for the days of Megscum. He's off the wage bill? We might get rid of one or two? It doesn't auger well for Wiggin tho'.
Members DazBob
the man is a buffoon who made many pine for the days of Megscum. Really? Bad as it was, I never felt that way.
Youri McAnespie
Really? Bad as it was, I never felt that way. It was bad, clueless, stubborn and divisive... He'll be shown up for what he is with Wiggin, I'll wager a score on him (and 'family') being shown the door before January is out.

I'd not argue with that. ... but as bad as things got under him, we ended up (IMO) stopping up a season longer than we would've done under Megson Megscum. Youri McAnespie
But, we were relegated and humiliated, he wasn't even that much of a player for us, took us backwards, happy clappy bollocks - fucking Diddles could've done better? Anyway...
Traf
The football might have looked prettier at times, he might have been a happier outgoing chap, but he was a worse manager than Megson. Worst we've had for a long time, once you factor in the resources he had at his disposal.

He didn't blow it, he bought good players, just struggled to get the best out if them on a regular basis, ie, shit manager, good scout

tomski
He didn't blow it, he bought good players, just struggled to get the best out if them on a regular basis, ie, shit manager, good scoutI used to believe that, but did he really buy good players. The return has been poor other than making a mill and a half on Cahill. He was a very expensive fire fighter who was taking us down.
