Like at Shrewsbury, do we play the youngsters ( Odelusi, Hall, Vela, Eaves ?, Bolger ?) for experience ,with the squad players (Lonergan, C Davies, Mears etc) to keep them match fit ?

 

I'd probably go with most of the team from Shrewsbury, but  have the first choice players on the bench for if it's going horribly wrong.

Definite no from me. Eaves' first touch is atrocious, although he'll fit in just fine with his lack of movement. As much as I hope the lad progresses, I just can't see it.

Cracking turnout by Bolton, outnumbered them easily.

 

As for the game, Tom Youngs, take a bow - only positive for me.

I thought the same. No way did they outnumber us by 2000.

 

Young looked ok when he came on. One of the few highlights.

Just home. First half we played like strangers , but Moritz & Beckford coming on turned it around & we outplayed them for the rest of the game. Unlucky not to win in the end.

Eaves was odd. Very poor when he was isolated up front, but showed some good touches when Moritz & Beckford came on & could have finished up with a hat trick.....one off the line & 2 disallowed.

We now know for certain our back up squad isn't good enough but let's get the first team off to Blackburn on Saturday and tank them. Beckford to continue his scoring run there and another win for us please

Folk are quick to forget what a great run we had for the last third of last season but I will concede that we appear to be playing like the side Dougie first inherited which is frustrating.

The run at the end of last season was great Gonzo for sure but ultimately it counted for nothing in the end and now that was last year it's gone, would you not have expected a vast improvement as a follow on this season though ?

what some of us are saying is that his results last year and his good (mostly) signings mean that a few disappointing and one bad result should not lead to shit about sacking the manager
