Ignore me, should read through the most recent posts eh?

Incidentally, how the fuck was Boyce not sent off?

So now ive seen the highlights it confirms what I thought at the match, officials had a big hand in shafting us.

1st goal - bollocks of a penalty

2nd goal - offside blind twatting linesman. Not even close. Remember at the game after he scored he just sort of walked off expecting the flag to go up and nearly jizzed himself when he realised it was a goal.

3rd goal - Scabby deflection assisted by Boyce who should of been sent off earlier

Apart from that I think they got everything right

Think we should be sticking with DF long term as as I still believe there is a plan in place to get a decent team for this division.

I can completely understand everybody's frustrations but this will take time and going for a 'lesser' manager with even less resources will only put us back another year or 2.

He really needs to get some of this deadwood out before we can call it his team. That wont be till next season Imo.

I thought their second was offside at the time, and defo looks like it there.

It touched our player last so doesnt that play him onside (or it used to do before they pissed about with the rules)

He's about as good a manager as we could attract now I think, why would anybody want to come to Bolton with the financial position that we're in?. The Parachute money is now next to nothing for the next two years (just £8M per year I think) so anybody who does come in won't be getting anything to spend. We're clearly not going anywhere this season (either up or down), so I suppose it's about building an entire new squad which may take another 2 seasons in this division. I'm happy to stick with Freedman for the rest of this season, and then see how we start next season, although I don't expect us to be challenging then either really if I'm honest

Really?  Do the rules now say that?

Powell must be offside when the Wigan player takes the shot and he becomes active as soon as he goes for the ball.  My understanding of this first phase and second phase bollocks means he has to be offside.  Would any of their players have complained if he'd been flagged?  I reckon not.

That was never a rule

Penalty against Mills was so clear I found myself shouting handball.

Boyce was lucky to stop on.

Thought we might have had a go at marking their best player on the edge of the six yard box for the third goal.

they're definitely milking this one

To be fair that made me chuckle...

Just because it clearly hits his hand doesn't mean it has to be a penalty.  Looks to me like the forward is bargiing in to him and his arm flies up.  If he can intentionally get his hand up to knock the ball away at that speed and from that close then get Mills in nets!  Had it been the other way round though I'd have been screaming for a penalty, obvs.

Just seen the highlights, the ref was out of his depth, why the big delay on their penalty and how did Boyce stay on the pitch??

Because he gave a corner, then was complained to by a bunch of Wigan players and used the linesman to change his mind, shocking refereeing. It would have been fair enough had he not seen it then had a word with his linesman and given it, but he had a clear view, didn't think it was a pen and then let the linesman overrule him, or cracked under pressure, either way not good enough.

Id accept the penalty against Mills but how the linesmans not seen Powell offside beggars belief.

He has also just given the green light for all players to surround the ref to get a decision which is something they are trying to discourage.

I think you meant 'out of this division' otherwise you've you've just summed up the ambitions of many on this forum

Does anyone think Boyce was lucky to stay on?

If the ref doesn't see the shove on MIlls, then it has to be a penalty.

do you just think your cleverer than the rest of us?

Made me smile on this cold December morning. Thanks

I don't feel its shit or bust this season. A bit of regrouping and rebuilding isn't that bad as far as I'm concerned

Shocking decision for the penalty and McManaman's goal looks like it takes a slight deflection to beat Lonergan.

Unlucky?

For the pen he looks like superman a miracle if it is not given.

Second goal looks offside but he is not in the picture when the ball is kicked so you can not tell.

Fook me...just noticed on the penalty, only two players go over to the scorer. Would you not be goin mad if you'd just come back from 2 down in local derby?

Spot on.

And the ref was looking at it straight on from about 15 yards away. The lino was across the other side with all the players and the goal frame in his way and still saw it clearly enough. Yeah, sure.

Someones just put that up. Morning knock for a few if that stays up

Is it just me or does very little happen on this other than a few things being chucked. Looks like they are waiting for the Police to turn up so that they don't have to turn their posturing in to action.

I'd have feared glorifying football violence by commenting on this - had there been any actual football violence filmed!
