Favourite All Time Wanderer And Why

Said it many times before................Peter Thompson. What a shit hot player.  Being a winger,I based my game on him.

Incredible to watch as a youngster.   His testimonial was the end of an era for the Bolton time,it all changed after that. Magical player and magical memories.

Neil whatmore or Jim mcdonagh can't decide

I agree with Casino here, it was a true pleasure to have him playing for us, and for a while he was majestic.

I've had a few

Steve Thompson

Andy walker

Youri

Okocha by a million miles. everything about his football was magical, for a time he was unplayable, one of the best around,

Fernando Hierro - absolute class and a privilege to see him in a Bolton shirt even if only for a few games in one season.

Is he that far ahead of CYL? - I thought you had them on a par

The CYL of the Premiership was 3rd behind Youri.

I can't imagine Bolton ever having a player as good as Okocha again, sure we might have players who'll do more, but talent wise, the guy was unreal.

No idea what he was like, checked Wiki and he only scored 2 goals in 117 games and was here for 5 years, did they get testimonials back then a lot earlier? did he used to create a lot? take players on? get many assists?

John McGinlay

Childhood hero.

There's only one Andy Walker. First time I'd seen a class striker in my time. Before him J.T and Tony Caldwell was as good as it got. That header when he rose like a salmon at Anfield will live with me forever

Dids my friend, take a gander on youtube esp the oldham match in 75/76. He was a wing wizard. The older lot on here will vouch for that. He assisted more than Bob Geldof.

Plus he took more people on than Bruce Lee.

Also have a look at old Liverpool games, more popular than the Beatles

Andy Walker was certainly a special moment in time.

For legend status, McGinlay, for footballing ability I'm torn between Okocha and Nico.

Google some old videos of him in his pomp he could beat a man for fun and deliver pinpoint sumptuous crosses I remember seeing a video of one of his performances from match off the day mid 60s he was unplayable. Rolls Royce of a player.

Frandsen. My favourite player as a young kid when footballers are your idols.

Top player to go with it

Bugger, there's a few isn't there?

You're right NB.

Going through my times watching us I can narrow it down to Frankie, SJM, Okocha, Youri, Roy Greaves and Campo.

Sorry I can't pick one but all the above were special in their own way.

Bugger, there's a few isn't there?

Certainly is. I forgot to say why though. Don't think I EVER saw Gudni have a bad game. Understated, but 100% committed to every game. A proper footballer.

Sorry I cant pick one too hard, so Ill put my dads in which is Warrick Rimmer.
