COYW Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Perhaps because Beckford isn't for sale? Did you really just post that? Quote
frank_spencer Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Did you really just post that? N'Gog and Sordell were widely known to be up for sale, thus encouraging offers as their agents would have been out making deals etc. Beckford is our 1st team striker so unless someone bid silly money he isn't going anywhere. Is it really that difficult to grasp? Comparing Backford to N'Gog and Sordell is comparing apples and oranges. Quote

frank_spencer Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Any amount would be silly. As he's the wrong side of 30 and in a midtable championship side you're not far off. We couldn't get any money for our £8m younger players and we're scraping together pennies to afford £1.5m for our best striker last season. Shows the kind of market we're working in. Quote
bolton va va Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Funnily enough no Premier League clubs have come in for Beckford or Davies so far. Funnily enough, Swansea fucked N'Gog off at the first opportunity, & Sordell has yet to play for Burnley, but has seen his value drop from over 3m to £500,000. Quote
snowball Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Silly money & silly wages we are talking Sordell & N'gog Quote
gonzo Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Jordan Rhodes signs two year extension Does this mean we definantly not getting him for £8 million then?? Quote

Aye can't believe Swansea didn't start Ngog infront of bony or a returning michu. Bonkers. Quote
Sweep Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 I'm still confused/amazed at Swansea actually taking him off our hands for the last few months of the season, I mean, really what were they thinking? Quote
Seabiscuit Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Juke Mason were unknowns on loan, Beckford & Davies both cost less than 1m, yet they are all better than the shite (N'Gog & Sordell ) that Freedman inherited, at a fraction of the cost. If you want to know about signing duffers, have a look at that cunt Coyle. These "better" strikers Freedman signed have just posted our worst league position in 20 years. We won 6 home games out of 23 in the 2nd Division with them. Quote

He brought Juke and mason in under some criticism. The last third of the season was vastly improved. These are the only facts that matter. Quote
passmosster Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 So who have we got now? That's the only fact that matters. Quote

Garrp Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 beckford is fine the worry is keeping him fit he's one of them players that always seems to pick up groin injurys no matter what him and the medical staff do Quote
Farrelli Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 So who have we got now? That's the only fact that matters. I was responding to seabiscuit's analysis of last season. Of course DF has work to do in recruiting up front for this season and he will. Quote
Guest Blixa Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 So who have we got now? That's the only fact that matters. No it isn't. Who we have when the season starts is the important thing. Quote
