Seems like we are being set up to me.

Why would he still favour a move here on less money to the championship than more money & to the premiership??

Either Boro are dangling a carrot or that's bullshit that he favours coming to us.

Nixon also reckons that it is bullshit they are still after Deeney.

he probably won't be paid any more at burnley than bolton

he will be our main man

we don't play in the second worst ground in the prem

thats 3 reasons for joining us

Last season when we signed Juke (and Mason), I along with a lot of others said "who"?

Confident DF can find another (couple) of "who's" for this season.

We move on. Didn't like that dingle Juke bastard anyway

Juke hasn't gone anywhere yet. I am still confident he'll be a Bolton player next season.

dunno, but this story reckons Boro are fucking about

Burnley cool Lukas Jutkiewicz interest and turn focus elsewhere

Which tends to suggest it'll be later than sooner when we sign him. Boro's demands look rather worrying. If Boro are worried about them, then so should we.

Past his best and a dirty twat. Congrats!

Probably right with that, but he was better than any other English defensive midfielder in the prem last season.

yeah

but

go to the PL, do well, prove yourself, get a move to another PL team when Burnley go down

could call it ambition

only thing I can think for us is that after a number of seasons going from club to club he wants to settle somewhere and enjoyed it here last season

boro need to stop twatting about and let us sign him so we can crack on

Don't panic about Juke / a striker just yet

I loved some of Juke's performances last season but can't shake the feeling that the Gonch may be right and that initial impact he may be relatively average

That said I'd sign him now if we have the money available

If not, move on, it's not the end of the world and I'm still happy with Dougie's work in the window so far

It will come to a point where Boro are going to have to sell if they want to press on with their plans too. It seems like it will be who blinks first as keeping him is just putting a hole in their budget.

Every other interested party will probably go and buy others and we will wait and sign him just before the season starts I reckon.

Agree with Gonzo that he isn't a world beater but he is up for it and wants to play for us and them are the type of players we will need imo. I cant see us signing any quality strikers soon.

I'll be very dissapointed if we don't get Jutkiewicz in. My belief is as a tried and tested player here already he's worth the outlay. Fook ffp, get him on the credit card uncle Eddie!

He's signed Beckford, Davies, Jutkiewicz and Mason, since he's been here. There's as much chance of him signing a couple of duffers, as a couple of 'who's'.

He's not even that good.

You're right, he's not.

But like Kevin Davies in days gone by, he works in a system we want to play. A rare square peg in a square hole. That's why he's important as a signing.

George lliev will play a major part this upcoming season, the plan is to play him off of Jutkiewicz, when he inevitably returns to bolton.

Really?

I had him down as more of a wide player, inside left at a push, up top playing off a big man? Not convinced.

But what the duck do I know?

Iliev played as a one up striker in the youth team most of the season before last.

But he is young and untried.

If Freedman still wants to play with one up, I don't think we have a natural one up at the mo.

Juke & Mason were unknowns on loan, Beckford & Davies both cost less than 1m, & yet they are all better than the shite (N'Gog & Sordell ) that Freedman inherited, at a fraction of the cost.

If you want to know about signing duffers, have a look at that cunt Coyle.

Funnily enough no Premier League clubs have come in for Beckford or Davies so far.

Perhaps because Beckford isn't for sale?

Granted Davies isn't much cop but he was dirt cheap and has done a job.

How much did those 'premier league clubs' give us back on our £8m investments?
