Traf Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 We need a player like Andy Reid who can pass the ball, our midfield didn't have a clue what to do with him yesterday. And his MO is hardly new, is it? Quote
bolton va va Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Bit of an article about Woolery, the chap we signed from non-league Tamworth. He sounds quite a sensible & grounded kind of person http://www.tamworthherald.co.uk/Championship-bound-Kaiyne-choosing-Bolton/story-22734070-detail/story.html Quote

Casino Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Yet despite that, they didn't beat us. aye, as much as he looked a threat, he didnt actually hurt us most of what he did was probably too deep still think we miss that type of player who can take the ball from the defence, but most teams in the league would like that type of player didn't notice much from antonio either - is it just possible the shit medo had something to do with that? Matt Lofthouse Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 didn't notice much from antonio either - is it just possible the shit medo had something to do with that?He did jog by his side to be fair and point at teammates to cover his space/ do his job. Quote
Casino Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 whatever...it worked he worries me yon antonio Quote
hughmungus Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 (edited) Yet despite that, they didn't beat us. Not down to just him though, for a long period of the match he just kept running into space and playing simple forward passes. The fact they didn't score off them wasn't his fault but he was head and shoulders above the two lumbering oafs we had on at one point who just stood and watched as he ran the game. With him in out team even Beckford would get a few more chances on goal. Edited August 17, 2014 by hughmungus Quote

Piemon Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 He's very good at that He also has a camper run than Chris Eagles. Thought coloured lads could all run? (Dunno what the pc term is these days) #sickened Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 He did jog by his side to be fair and point at teammates to cover his space/ do his job. Seem to remember Nolan being accused of that, for medo needs letting of the leash muck and bullets in centre mid is what he needs he is a warrior. Quote
Matt Lofthouse Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Bob Hall to Brum on loan. Toodle pip. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11672/9427940/transfer-news-birmingham-city-eye-move-for-boltons-rob-hall Quote

Toodle pip. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11672/9427940/transfer-news-birmingham-city-eye-move-for-boltons-rob-hall I think that would be good for him if he gets to play regular football. He isn't that far off being a first team player imo. He just needs to toughen up a bit. Quote

gonzo Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Strange decision. Not exactly awash with creativity are we? Quote
frank_spencer Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Strange decision. Not exactly awash with creativity are we? Possibly the oddest decision in a long while. He's a little rough around the edges but I'd rather have him and his potential in the squad than at a side I consider similar to us in Brum. Quote
jules_darby Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 I believe at times his attitude hasn't been the best. Perhaps he's not one for "waiting for a chance" and going elsewhere suits all parties. Would we have bought Feeney without moving Chungy on first if DF really fancied Hall? I dunno.... Quote
Garrp Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 There will be one currently better coming in which means Hall won't get game time we send him on loan to get those games he hopefully comes back a better player for the second half of the reason or next season i keep saying it, why do people find this strange yet they wouldn't if Threlkeld or Kellet went on loan? Quote
ex_midlandwhite Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 He's popular at Brum so they'll be happy, he'll probably get game time and they'll get behind him, so it's hopefully a good move Quote

Biggish Dave Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 I agree, will be a good move - he gets games (or should do), he frees up some of his wage for us to bring in someone who is going to play more albeit probably on loan and we get him back more experienced and hopefully toughened up at championship level. We've used the loan system to Middlesborough & Cardiff's advantage last season, time to use it to our advantage with Hall Quote
Traf Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 why do people find this strange yet they wouldn't if Threlkeld or Kellet went on loan? I'd loan those two out too, but to league 1, where they might toughen up a bit and play more often. Quote
