i dont see any traffic

You only do 5/6 hour days? - I wish I did. I bet that includes travel time as well doesn't it

He's got to be back to make Winston's brekkie.

Working from home is the future

This is my course of action today,

Signs are painted on misguided busway, so congestion

But it is not operative

Cunts

Gash again tonight

Quickest way to Sheffield at about half 5 from experience? (Obviously every days different)

Torn between Snake Pass, the 62 and Woodhead

Woodhead if its opened

Woodhead.

Fair point, Radcliffe. I'm thinking Woodhead, google seems to agree at the moment

Depends which part of Sheffield you're going to

North Sheffield/Hillsborough - Woodhead

West Sheffield/University - Snake

Other option I take if it's North Sheffield is to go to Huddersfield on M62 and drop down through that way

Also, half 5 morning or evening? Morning - do Woodhead/Snake. Evening - Huddersfield. Denton/Hadfield/Glossop is a fucking mare at any busy time

It's why I never have and never could work in the same place every day

Bury today. Saw the forecast. Fucked off at 2. Worked from home rest of the day

And the days when I can't........

Yesterday - left Gatwick at 1.15, got home at 7.45

Today - left Sheffield at 11.30, got home at 3.20

Both days, flicking between Talksport, 5Live and Radio 2 picking up the traffic news. Not a single fucking mention of any problem on any motorway north of Birmingham. Southern-centric cunts. Sat near Heathrow yesterday coming back from Gatwick. Delay of what, 5 mins max, and it';s the lead traffic story on every station. Fuckers!!!!

i was going to say, i dont envy you

it can take me 25 from mine to heap bridge and then 60 minutes to the 67 junction

plus 10 more to junction 25

i worked in chinley for a whole 8 days before i jacked it in

that was an hour at 6 am

basically, traffic is shit

That article is the biggest load of bollocks I've heard for a long time.

That tunnel is fucked. Not a chance that they'll do it. They shut it for good reasons due to the geology

Engineering wise it could be done, Gotthard Base Tunnel on Switzerland is longer than this, plus that goes through the complex geology of the Alps.

Political wind and piss I suspect #casinoright

Don't touch the 57, off the 60 at Ashton through Stalybridge and come out after the jams. Works a treat.

I rang a friend to pick me up from central Manchester last night, I was pissed and didn't think it was such a massive favour. Fuck me, I got it in the neck by the time they arrived. M61 slip road - shut for road works then M602 - shut for road works.

I couldn't be arsed dealing with that shit every day.

One for the Manchester city centre workers

"Commuters are likely to wake up to yet another road closure on Monday morning - after a sink hole appeared on Whitworth Street."
