MancWanderer Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Clockwise? Anti-clockwise? Round the M60 It's not difficult ffs Outside carriageway clockwise Inside carriageway anti-clockwise Simples Quote

tomski Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 thanks for your input it would have been more use if you had been able to answer the question i asked, mind I think as gonk mentioned and you were looking down from the sky at the M60 that's how you gauge it. Another way to think it is the counting of junctions for example Ashton (24?) To B town (15) is going backwards anti clockwise etc. Quote
fatolive Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 (edited) I think he is asking , how do they determine the anti clockwise side of that very circle, when, if you drew a line through it, you can be travelling anti clockwise on either side of that line. Don't think he's struggling with the concept of clockwise and anti clockwise to be honest! I think though, as said before, they( the radio) meant the anti clockwise side of the junction where the queue or whatever was, to differentiate from the other side which also has exit and entry slips. The side being the side of the central reserve rather than side of the motorway in area Edited December 11, 2015 by fatolive Quote

Zico Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 thanks for your input it would have been more use if you had been able to answer the question i asked, mind You're really having a spaz moment here aren't you "what makes it the anti clockwise side" It's the only side you cam travel anti clockwise on Ie the inside lane But because you come from Bury in more than one sense your thinking the clock can be upside down Try wearing your watch upside down, if you don't already Quote
Casino Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 You're really having a spaz moment here aren't you will i be able to get sky broadband? seriously, ill try to explain they said the anti clockwise side is stopped they meant all 6 lanes on the oldham side of the 60 i don't see how that makes any sense as you can go clockwise and anticlockwise at junction 9, 1, 17, wherever can't you? Quote

Zico Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 is this a conversation better face to face? "had the traffic news on and apparently the anti clockwise side was blocked what makes it the anti clockwise side i know i should say im joking but no, im not you can go anti clockwise on both sides" you can't if you get on the M60 at the M61, if you go on the "clockwise side", you're on the outside, you go to bury, and would stay on past oldham, past stockport, then past the exit for the airport, didbusry, then trafford centre etc if you got the "anticlockwise side", you're on the inside, you go past the trafford centre, didsbury, airport, stockport, oldham, bury you can't go anticlockwise on both "sides", or you'll crash into oncoming traffic, on the clockwise side Quote
