Carlos Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Oyster shmoyster. After months of pissing about, the Metrolink now just uses the same online system/app that the buses use. The Metrolink system is, on the whole, excellent. It's just a shame it goes from Radcliffe which is a massive shithole. I wouldn't catch the train from Bolton again if it was free. Quote

birch-chorley Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Oyster cards are now defunct aren't they? London types just use contactless credit debit cards in place of Oyster now and tfl charge the cards as they would do if it was an Oyster Quote

The whole "Oyster card for Manc" project is/was a complete mess - delivery estimates put back and back and then Atos got the boot in the summer Fuck knows where it's at now Quote
Carlos Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Atos pulled out, rather than being booted I thought. Like I said, you can use the bus app to buy a ticket. It's poor as you can't buy a specific journey but it ends the fucking about that a tram pulls in whilst you are behind some dozy cunt who can't operate a simple machine. It does cost you 70p more in my case though. Quote
fatolive Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Ketchup all over the east lancs apparently aye, was shut this morning for hours between higher green lane Astley and the greyhound roundabout while they cleaned it up for those that know the area. caused mayhem thats only just recovering around the area and roads leading onto the lancs. 22T of it apparently, nearly as much as my kids put on chips.
