If Bury Grammar is off, its a piece of piss getting through the town at school run times.

All the other schools could be in but every kid must get dropped off by car at that place.

Big White overfinch's and blacked out Q7's all parked on yellow zig zags??

No mate. He said Bury grammar.

Traffic has been great last few days. People stay off or away. It has halved my journey time

School runs and school holidays combined

So basically: schools being open or not

I'm certain that the traffic I endure of an evening has got cock all to do with schools as they close 3 hours earlier yet this week it's been a breeze

20+ mile tailbacks

One of our lads stuck in it and reckons its 3 hours to get through at best.

Welcome back to work, wankers.

It wasn't even the first bit of news on the 5 live traffic report

M1 closed at Northampton as they have found a body

One of those super shit days today

Temporary traffic lights through Walshaw meaning my commute to work is now bloody 20mins

Drove past the fire at 7am heading south.

Wagons front wheel was on fire on hard shoulder. Cars driving past it in next lane, wouldn't be good if fuel tank had gone then.

Once, when taking wife (then girlfriend) home, there was a car on fire at junction of Chorley New Road and Beaumont Road. Blazing like hell, and there was a bloke stopping folk going past "in case it blew!" I informed him that these things rarely happened other than in American films. Just then, one of the tyres exploded with hell of a bang. The bloke, while picking himself up, looked at me and said, "You were saying?"

But seriously, the chance of the furl tank blowing are slim. The chances of a tyre blowing are massive and could kill if you got too close.

Mick- what's the chances of a piece of exploded tyre penetrating a fuel tank?

Just curious.

There's a few folk off a Concorde can tell you the answer to that.

Well, they can't, but you catch my drift.

The M60 was fucking horrific tonight.

It can fuck the fucking fuck right fucking off. The cunt.

The accident that caused that was earlier on in the afternoon ............. in Yorkshire

Not surprised - the traffic app just showed a red line all the way to Huddersfield.

It won't ever change. Ever.

My route was M6 J10-J15, through Newcastle & up the A50 to J17.

Off at 20 ( A50) and back on about a mile later, saw the overturned van on the southbound that every fucker was swan necking at, then off at 23 and through Leyth.

98 Miles, 3 1/2 Hours

M6 3 lanes shut southbound

Nice

Crawling to Leeds

Looking like 3 hours at this rate

That last 6 miles into the centre is a killer.

Train is usually the sensible option. Drive to Blackburn, 1hr,27 mins  to Leeds, £16.30 return.

It means that it's hard to get to the Octagon car park from half of the town, I imagine it'll put more onto Trinity Street, which can already be fucked.

Very low. The steel within the tyre keeps everything pretty much intact. The explosion is usually the heated air within the tyre expanding sufficiently to explosively pop it off the rim, not shredding the tyre into lots of small bits.

Fair enough.
