Most Saturday games at Burnden in the 90's. Those pub crawls to the ground used to start in the Balmoral at 11:00am and we would be downing our last at 2:58pm in Churchills

Black Friday ...was in the rose hill at 12 ...all I remember from the game is looking up and seeing mcginley crossing the ball.....the rest of it's all forgotten ...don't tell me the score....

4-0 Newcastle, the Keegan game. My mates 18th birthday, a couple on Blackburn rd, 3 ciders in the Howcroft & a few more beers in town. Missed every goal & was coming up with some ales when we scored 1, every fucker piled down into me, was covered in ale & sprained my ankle....never seen the goals yet & I think we were on motd?...slept through it anyway

Blackburn away 2003ish, think we lost 3 - 2. We must have went to every pub in blackburn and i couldn't see past the halfway line during the game. I also fell up the steps. Madrid too, think my last memory there was when that drinks van got turnt over.

The semi final against Villa is a different thing though, i recall being pissed and celebrating, i just can't remember if i went to the  actual game or was in the pub.

Only European game I remember much about is Plovdiv, was monged in Munich, Marseilles, Lisbon, Madrid & Guimaraes although I do remember both goals in Munich.

91 tranmere play off final at wemberlee....

Midnight train+ acid+Borough market at 6am= sleep all the way through the game

Pompey away in the cup 95, ejected and arrested within a minute of setting foot on the terraces.

Filling ham away on the Friday night

2-2 - missed all 4 goals

John O Kane scored from a mile out, still never seen that goal even on Internet. Anyone got a link?

You lot a fookin' lightweights. If you can remember then you weren't that pissed. When you are told you went to a match when you swear you didn't, that is properly pissed.

That Tranmere game for me too. Had a few on train down and found ourselves at The Blue Bell or Torch or somewhere. Anyway, Off Licence was cheaper than bar so I bought a case of 24 Carling.

Was hidden away in a corner at Man & Scythe when I was about 14. Folk kept putting glasses of this orange coloured stuff in front of me. No idea how I got to ground; no idea how I got in ground, no idea who we were playing, score, anything.

Slept through whole game in the sun on the embankment.

Another victim of THAT Square in Guimaraes,

I was 16 at the time and getting served was a complete novelty.

I turned to my old man during the game "we'll do these lot in the second half"

To which he replied "this is the second half"

Super Bock. What a drink

Similar to that I celebrated us progressing to the next round at half time in Madrid. Dick!

I thought Jussi was our keeper in Munich until I saw the teams in the paper the day after!

I did a walking sick that day; hands spread across a car that was actually trying to drive past me

Out it came and all was well again

When your landlady brings up a crate of Superbock to your room on your arrival a day before the game in Guimaraes, you knew it would be a struggle in that town the following day.

That square in Guimares, fell asleep in a chair with my ticket on my lap.

Woke up to find an egg cracked over me, ticket gone and i was the only one in the square, and it had gone dark.

Managed to stagger to the ground, and bought another ticket for the away end, only charged about a quid.

Got in the ground and fell asleep again, only to be woken by cheers for Vaz Te's goal.

I spent most of the first half stumbling round the away end asking folk if they are on O2 and can I borrow their handset for 2 minutes!!!

My battery had died and couldn't find my way to the lads

You missed the bit where you were freezing your bollocks off because you had been in the fountain! :D

Brilliant.

Haha

Daft, was drunk as a monkey in that square, staggered to the ground falling over, i got in. Fucking Hell. i was sore as hell the next day getting to Porto. There are times i am glad that Bolton dont play in these games anymore.

I have no recollection of the Watford playoff final in 99 & assume I was there only because I wouldn't miss a game like that. No memory of the pub either so don't even know if drink can be blamed

I'm pretty sure you were there. I know I was and I try to forget it.

My sister was down - Munich Tom was trying to get off with her in the pub afterwards.

But I think you were....
