Just checked and it was “Community Day” at a tenner a ticket plus obviously a big game in the promotion picture.

Always said that there’s a big casual support base around Coventry and seems to be evidenced with the crowds that magically appeared for Wasps RU, but they weren’t ever packing them in at Highfield Road.

Said it before but when I was stewarding for Cov they were confident of getting the 20k a game they needed to make the move to the ricoh viable.

Poor on pitch performance and the farce off the pitch put paid to that.

Always remember 2-3 blokes at the front ,behind the goal with big woolly sky blue flat hat type things on during the Kobe Jones days.

Hope Sunderland aren’t galvanised by their comeback today. Goals on C5 now and they got the sort of luck (twice with the own goals and a few more besides) that you NEVER get when you’re near the bottom and previously couldn’t even buy a goal never mind a point.

What was all that with Everton fans booing Schneiderlin yesterday?

I see they're now in the top half by the way.

And Sam's post-match interview was about the difference between home and away results was that the home supporters were fantastic and are enjoying the entertaining football on offer. He forgot to say, "Except Pablo. He's just a moaning fucker!"

Like I think zico said, Sam's prone to the odd catastrophe like the Arsenal game. We took some beatings in amongst the good stuff.

Sam will pick it up against teams round them and get the odd shock at the big boys away from home.

Reckon he'll be gone in the summer though and end up at Stoke or summet.

This grealish for villa, bit of a fanny but looks a hell of a player

His Grandad's Grandad was in Villa's FA Cup winning team in 1905, and scored the deciding goal in their semi-final replay against Everton.

Quite incredible that, his family must be proud as punch and he’s a cracking player.

Twitter tells me that John Terry has never played in a home league game with a biggercrowd than the one he's playing in today

Unlikely

41,233 will have been surpassed many times at Stamford Bridge.

Last season's average was 41,508
