Biggish Dave Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 Looks like Sheffield Utd are going up then. Good luck to them, rather them than Leeds. Can’t see them staying up though Quote

Can’t see them staying up though Been watching too. An example of a manager getting a team to produce more than the some of its parts. No Olympic paced runner, or someone with dazzling skill. But a total work ethic, willingness to move for each other, and desire to attack. Together with no small amount of tactical nouse. Agree about them staying up. Will need to sharpen up with final passes and finishes. They won't be able to create as much next season so will need to be more efficient. That said, judicious purchases could see them right. Quote
Duck Egg Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 Sheffield Utd were very impressive at ours this season. Wilders done an excellent job with no stars. Can he outdo Colin now and keep a side up in the Prem? Quote
Marc505 Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 How our fortunes have differed since Spearing scored that winner against them opening day of League One. Madness. Quote
radcliffe white Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 Very impressed with how they kicked on and only spending 6m Quote
Burndens Bogs Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 (edited) I went to Chorley v Bradford Park Avenue today and quite enjoyed it, nice buzz about the place - it helps that they win a fair few games and seem to have players who actually care. I just can't see them becoming "My club" if we go tits. Supporting BWFC for more than 50 years runs deep. Edited April 27, 2019 by Burndens Bogs Quote

I’ve been a few Boro,Spurs, Rangers games over the years BB, but like you say, we can’t just see them being our club when we finally fold. I’ve been to those matches, enjoyed the days out admittedly, but always spent many times thinking “decent day, decent lads, but it’s not Bolton” No matter which club you follow, the club you follow from the heart is always entrenched deeply in your heart.. We may not care to BWFC, we are just numbers, but, by God...BWFC matters to all of us on here. Very sad times indeed and I fear it’s the end now. Quote
radcliffe white Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 Not a pitch invasion between Sheffield & Norwich, boring Quote
Casino Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 Sheff Utd were able to let Leon Clarke go as he was 27th choice And we were trying to compete in the same league Quote

We weren't trying to compete with Sheff Utd, we were trying to compete with the likes of Millwall, Rotherham & Reading & failed miserably. Quote

birch-chorley Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 In fairness that’s never a kick the ball out job the big soft wanker Too much kicking the ball out for me, keep the game going unless they really do need immediate medical attention But once the Leeds player has indicated that he’s kicking it out they are banged to rights I’m not sure that the player who scored realises his teammate had indicated to kick out though in fairness Once that Villa player grabbed the scorer by the throat all bets are off for me, fuck them, I wouldn’t be letting them have a free hit Quote
ErnestTurnip Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 Not sure if I've had too much ale but is that 3 consecutive promotions with 3 different teams for Madine today? Been racking my brain but does this make him the one true football god (and future quiz question) or are there others? Quote
bwfc2003 Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 Time they put a halt to this kicking ball out if it is serious ref has power to stop the game and have a proper dropped ball - ala warren Joyce type Quote

Once the Leeds law had appeared to be kicking the ball out, then played it forward, I reckon the ref should have blown up. Teams should really play on though as instructed this season, and leave the decision the ref. Quote

Oliver Norwood has helped gain promotion from the Championship in each of the last 3 seasons with Brighton, Fulham and SheffUtd, appearing in at least half of the matches for each club. Quote
