I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

Sound quality is like a mid 80s England game in Albania too!

I checked the venues for next season's finals, Europa League is in Gdansk, that'd do!

Champions League is in that one in Istanbul that's about 100 miles away from anywhere, where Liverpool won it that time.

Lets hope that UEFA will learn from hosting it in Baku but money will talk so they probably won't. Next years final is in Gdansk.

Got some Euro 2020 games there too. All about the fans, UEFA...

jobby savage is a complete cunt , watching it now with no sound

To be fair I can see the sense in that one as the general idea of the multiple venues was to take events to such places that could host a game or two but not a whole tournament, and at least there would be plenty of time for fans to confirm travel arrangements. Club finals are by nature short-term affairs and so should be held somewhere with at least semi-reasonable transport links.

Been to Gdansk, reckon you could have a proper good euro trip  for a few days to watch the final there

True, that's why Cardiff was fuming that despite this idea, Wembley still ended up with a load of games, semis and final and it got ignored.

Baku is not on my visit list for next summer anyway.

Didn’t realise Cardiff didn’t get any. That’s a shocking call considering Hampden has got a couple of games, and that’s an utter shit tip (albeit a piece of piss to travel to).

Not entirely sure but having the champions league final there the other year might have been a "soz" from UEFA. Games in Munich and Rome too, it's a strange one. Especially as Germany's hosting the next Euros.

It’s in Besiktas’ new stadium, built on the site of the old Inonu, where we played.

Super Cup is there, meant to be one of the loudest ever recorded crowd noises from their lot.

Fuck, so it is.

Surprised to see same stadium hosting twice in 15yrs.

2021 is either Munich or St Petersburg, you know it'll be the latter.

DMBs world pre-season tour features games in Singapore, Shanghai and Cardiff, though this would have been compromised if Watford had managed to win the FA Cup.

Total farce this final got the atmosphere of a non league game

both sets of fans sent tickets back and I don’t blame them

Spot on. UEFA and FIFA don't give a fuck about fans.

Absolutely shit atmosphere in a stadium built for track and field events.

Qatar World Cup to come in a few years as their crowning glory.

Dean Saunders talks some absolute shite. He's like a one man fibbing machine 🙄

He should post on here then 😁

If you're really bored and have no life - and let's face it who does lurking on here at this time on a Friday, get a load of this.

An alternate reality world has been created where nuclear war did occur in the 80s and what the aftermath would be. To the point where someone's gone to the effort of plotting how the World Cups would have panned out. Lose yourself in a world of detail...

Just wondering how tonight's final will be received in the pubs of Manchestoh who ever wins will be an arrow through the heart of any dmb's and I can't see any of the massives being over enthralled love it .

Only just realised the final is at Athletico Madrid's gaff. I didn't know they had a new stadium 😂
