I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

He does make quite a lot of mistakes I reckon. He's quite often beaten at his near post, which is ridiculous for a "top" keeper. He's also not great at claiming crosses either. He's certainly the best English keeper, but he's still not great I don't think.

For England also, but he's shown how good he can be, tonight he hasn't been good enough, hence the he's better than this. He'd not be England No.1 if he was always like this after David James and others retired/ weren't good enough themselves (Rob Green, Foster, Robinson, Carson)

Has anyone mentioned that it only costs 6p or an old bottle top to get in to see Bayern recently?

Whos this miserable bloke doing the co-commentary on Anzhi v Spurs? Sounds genuinely gutted to have to make comments!

I was thinking of praising the Spurs fans for making a long long (and dangerous) trip to the shores of the Caspian Sea.

Turns out it was played in Moscow.  Sh*t fans !

McLeish was my guess. But sounded more like Mccoist.

Dnipro and Fiorentina have kicked off in conditions not far short of our game with Zenit.

3000-mile round trips must make postponements difficult.

Alonso starts.

Not sure if anyone will finish.

Those Anzhi "home" games in Europe look like the absolute pits

I wonder what the crowd will be at the DW tonight?

Inbred, I'd guess.

12,000

Not bad for them.

Good result aswell

Kicked off with Maribor in Wigan apparently, I'll try and find details.

It's more than I thought they would get, I don't think we would have been greatly difference attendance wise if it was us playing Maribor

Under 11K on for Braga, even though it was always full when we played in Europe.

Under 10K in the home end for Aris.

Anyway, sounds like it'll be a tasty away game for the Goon Squad.

They get the games free with their s/t's, though I don't think it should matter really.

They only took about 20 so I can't see out happening. Tomski's correct, season ticket holders get free entry into all home group matches, without that I doubt they'd have hit 7/8k.

Yeh, I'm bitter. Really wish it was us. Bastards.

And they're counting them in the attendance figures, even if they don't go.

Turned over Sams bar apparently with knives and balaclavas, but Wigan stood their ground.

I'm calling bullshit that they had knives, how would they bring them over on flights, or who would sell them once here, and most importantly, Wigan stood their ground...bullshit :)
