Leyther_Matt Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 Errr...Shrewsbury ballsed me up against Carlisle even after that Bournemouth comeback! Should end Millwall's mini revival anyway. Quote
enzo gambaro Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 This mon who's scored twice for Scum. He's new on me. So I had a look on Wikipedia: Adnan Januzaj has been called "A winner" by fellow Manchester United left winger Cristiano Ronaldo, "World Class" by Lionel Messi and even Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere Commented "Boy do I love dicks, but not as much as this guy!" So now I know. Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 arent city trying to snatch him?Yeah bit of a contract dispute apparently. He looked a class above when he played against our U21's the other week. Quote
enzo gambaro Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 Roma absolutely destroying Inter in San Siro. Totti looks like he'll be a good un when he's pushing 50. Quote
HomerJay Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 (edited) Francesco Totti seems like he's been around forever. edit: just checked and he has. the Ryan Giggs of Italian footy? but better? arguably? this season, 7 games, 3 goals, 6 assists. and last season was his most creative league campaign with 12 assists. Pablo Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 This season has been his best for about 6 years, shithouse of a player. But what a player he has been. 2nd to Del Piero in Italy since Robby Baggio. Quote
enzo gambaro Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 He was good last season, albeit often in roles he probably didn't like and in a team that couldn't defend for shit. This season, in front of a defence that has conceded one in seven, and with Gervinho's pace and industry to work with, he looks as good as ever. He might not be quite so effective with Ljajic or, God forbid, Destro as a foil. Quote
Casino Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 are we saying gervinho looks like a footballer? Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 How bad does the Etihaad look in the last few minutes thousands gone home virtually empty ground. Quote
enzo gambaro Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 He covers his mekon fod up up if that's what you mean! Roma seem to suit him better than Arsenal, certainly. His effort was never in doubt but I don't think he was technically good enough for intricate twelve pass moves in congested penalty areas. Roma's style of play leaves him more space to utilise his pace, and Totti is brilliant at both creating that space and putting the ball into it. The Roma manager had Gervinho at Le Mans and Lille, too, and obviously knows how to get the best out of him. Quote

Carlos Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 (edited) Well I've been to Ajax, a few observations... Despite it being impossible to get a ticket, the stadium was half empty and my £20 Viagogo one was tip top. Ended up in the away end but with about 300 Utrecht fans, they sectioned it off and my bit was full of tourists. No cash bars, you have to buy a 10 Euro card which encourages drinking. It is perfectly acceptable to smook weed on the metro. The refs don't get involved, just for blatant stuff. Not seen a single long ball. Triangles are great to watch, our lot probably think that's something Dairylee make. The Utrecht keeper got beaten near post twice so much be shit. Edited October 6, 2013 by Carlos Quote
stevieb Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 I had a giant meatball barm instead. 1 euro? Quote

Rembrandt Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Willian scores Chelsea's 3rd goal. Commentator wonders 'how he got a work permit since he hasn't played for Brazil yet' (words to that effect). Are we in fat-brown-envelope land ? Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 (edited) How lucky are Wigan at the moment 1 down and struggling Handley has a rush of blood and gets a straight red, Blackburn score an own goal after 69 minutes and then the jammy scabby bastards score in the last minute. I have an unhealthy dislike of Wigan it might get me in trouble. Edited October 6, 2013 by Mounts Kipper Quote
