Salah, being Egyptian, has an obvious disadvantage at international level, unless of course his lot perform well in comps within Africa.

45 goals in 73 appearances since 2011.

Ronaldo 115 goals. Some way to go to top that!

They finished 2nd in The African cup of nations 2017. But either way thereā€™s only one fella in the same league as Ronaldo and it ainā€™t or will ever be Mo Salah, as much as I rate him.Ā

What a blessing in disguise we have no game today, that Stockport replay result turned out nice.

The shite awful wet windy weather and our available players having an extended rest are 2 good enough reasons šŸ‘Œ

Yeah, nice peaceful weekend

Brighton, Wolves and Fulham are somewhat a surprise on that list.

Correct. Its a net spend chart which isn't the same thing

Wolves, Brighton and Fulham obviously don't have the financial power and as expensive squads as Liverpool but a few nice sales has Liverpool below them in this chart

Yes agreed, and thoughts with anyone going to a dull game today.Ā  Especially Harrogate fans going to Portsmouth and Barrow going to Ipswich for the glamour of a quarter full stadium.Ā

Part of assembling an expensive squad is being able to cash in and keep buildingĀ

Liverpool are good at that, always have beenĀ

Buy Torres for Ā£20m, sell for Ā£50mĀ

Buy Suarez for Ā£22m, sell for Ā£66mĀ

Buy coutinho for Ā£8.5m, sell for Ā£105mĀ

Salah was Ā£36m, am sure they could make a tidy profit if they wantedĀ

Ok andy carroll but generally they are adept in the transfer marketĀ

As are ChelseaĀ

Everton are not

Perhaps the difference is, one of those teams buys a player to fit into an already good team which makes him look a better player.
Ā

The other team is Everton. They buy a good player, shoehorns him into a poor side, hope he makes the team good, he fails and his saleability suffers.

And Liverpool are the 2nd biggest club in the country behind United

Liverpool turn over Ā£500 million a year compared to Brighton's Ā£150 million because they are a far bigger club.

Their turnover is the main reason for their financial power and expensive squad

I might be wrong but Everton's better players tend to be the ones they don't spend much onĀ Ā

They just don't half spend big on shite
