I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

McAvoy sacked by PNE.

I think getting Cardiff away in the cup must have been the final straw for him.

Not sure what they expected when they gave him the job, seems to have a squad of no-marks, but still pulled out results like winning at Forest and Bournemouth.  Maybe being below Blackpool is the crime.

Cup is crap when we aren’t in it. Also it’s just crap full stop sadly.

I know what you mean, there are always some dire cup matches.  But the likes of Chelsea v Chesterfield, Spurs v Morecambe, Newcastle v Cambridge have a bit of magic/romance, their fans will be buzzing for weeks.

Yep commentators will talk about the pay day. All anyone cares about now. It’s not for me.

The likes of Arthur and Ryan Delaney aren't going to be seeing it that way, they'll be busting a gut to be in the team for Spurs away.  There'll be average 50k on at those 3 matches, if that was us going to any of those grounds on a Saturday afternoon I'd expect us to easily fill whatever allocation we were given (and yes they'll probably be switched to Monday night or 12 noon Sunday).

A bizarre appointment in the first place.

Replaced by Ryan Lowe of L1 leaders Plymouth. Decent signing, so long as you give him money.

Never moved his family down away from his beloved Merseyside

Luckily his assistant has better taste so hopefully not as much disruption as could have been

I suppose if he's got kids of school age, you can understand it. Especially as a manager's tenure can be all too brief.

Do you not think the assistant will follow next week?

Leipzig v City game is awful to watch without a crowd.

Leipzig just scored second, was like Reebok with the “I feel good” jingle after the goal.
