It depends on your definition of tasty. Every possibility of a tight tie. A 0-0 and a 1-0 to either side wouldn't surprise me. Hope I am wrong and it's a 3-3 and 2-2 draw ending up being decided on penalties but I just don't see it the way these two play. Maybe by 'tasty' you mean niggly and confrontational? A bit like you now I've pulled you up on 'AC' You pedantic t**t ...and to think I thought AC was what they use to remove the niff of garlic and armpits in the stadium....and the lingering memory of being stuffed by the mighty BWFC Quote

You live in a nice little area, and you all look after your bit. If everyone did likewise, the shit-holes would be far less shitty. Certainly not a panacea, but certainly a major boost, and certainly not something to criticise them for. That is a very strange explanation as to why we have shitty areas. Good question re the investment - It would probably look pretty much the same in the local area. What Manc Wanderer has shown is that it has in reality made little difference, and that the people of East Manchester aren't in a better position. We could argue til the cows come home about who's fault that is. You've pointed out a few benefits linked to the club, fair enough. But it's almost as if you're using that to defend the ownership. Most on here would agree that it's not financially fair the way they've done it and a few nice facilities in East Manc doesn't really change that. Spelling and grammar all okay for you? Quote

I was last there three years ago after leaving our company's factory in Reggio Emilia and heading south by train. Napoli train station itself is a life experience! Missus' family is mainly in Salerno and Napoli (and Tun Fowt!). I'll not send the others to sleep repeating tales of visits to Fuorigrotta etc. Suffice to say it's a fucking madhouse but a highly addictive one. There'll still be one massive, mental party once the Scudetto is clinched even though the Champions League dream is over for at least a year. Will be watching the home game v Salernitana on 30th April with great interest. Wondering if 'interested parties' might be having a word down in Salerno if the draw kings are safe from being relegated. Would not surprise me one bit. To the Campanese in general, this is seen as a 'win it for Campania' thing. All of the granata fans in the family are desperate for Napoli to become champions. I'll be selecting a 'H' for that match! nice - love that part of Italy. Never been to Napoli but thinking about it this summer for a long weekend. The big cities aren't usually for me but there's something about that place that tempts me. My amateur team has a friendly with Napoli United so deffo thinking of going over for that. Enjoy the game. The biggest problem was that it was a leap of faith every time we tried to cross a road with scooters in particular coming at you from every direction & one did collide with my mate. I liked it a lot & would happily go back. Quote

Leyther_Matt Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 Went to Fiorentina v Lech Poznan tonight. Fiorentina won the first leg 4-1 so wasn’t expecting much but it turned in to an absolute belter, Poznan going 3-0 up at one stage to level on aggregate until Fiorentina scored twice late on. Enjoyable night despite the numb as fuck Yanks sat behind us who only turned up for the last half hour as if it was the seventh innings in baseball. Quote

We've had Americans show up around us the couple of times we've been watching them, I suppose it's just that kind of city. Bizarre stadium that, curvas are so far behind the pitch with awful sight lines, and has the feel of a swimming baths from the outside. Yet I love it. Quote

I don't do Europa league games normally but when I saw that crowd, atmosphere and stadium I was invested. And De Gea ensured the match was entertaining too. How he is still playing at that level is anyone's guess, has he ever gone 5 games without a schoolboy error or 3? Quote

One tip mate. if you do go to Napoli there is one big no-no. I only mention this because I always think that nimby tree hugging types seem to embrace fashion faux pas' as a badge of honour. By all means worry not about matted dreadlocks, cheesecloth garments, dysentery slacks and metalflake pink Docs. You might get a few funny looks from arguably the most stylish folk on the planet but you'll probably be used to those anyway. What you must not do is wear a 'bum bag' or whatever style deprived geeks who wear these things call them these days. The locals are superbly adept at removing them with a razor blade and you wouldn't feel it go. You may as well walk down the main strada waving your passport and cash in the air shouting "Free documents and money". Away from this warning, it is a spectacular place where you will see unimagined wealth alongside abject poverty. Some incredible historical things to see including the near 300 mile subterranean network started by the founders of Neapolis. Loads of historical stuff. Pompeii is close by. Just be mindful of highly skilled thievery. Quote

Just be mindful of highly skilled thievery. Knew a bloke who worked on the cruise ships who said Naples was the port they all dreaded calling at. There were always several passengers who got mugged or robbed, despite all the warnings they'd give about not wandering around with fancy cameras, watches and yes, bumbags on display. He described Neapolitans as Italy's scousers. Quote
Dr. Feelgood Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 .On a separate note, I advise anyone who can to watch Stretford being shown the door by Seville last night. Now, the Red Shite is a team in crisis. Every time ten Hag looks like he's sorted them out they turn in an abject performance. Harry McGuire, never what he was cracked up to be looks permanently on the edge of tears. He has the body language of someone who's bumped into Burke & Hare a bit early. His mistake was hilarious. de Gea then bettered it. The Dutchman has done a decent job getting rid of the Incredible Sulk, the players sometimes look like they know what they're doing but then they revert. Quote
