It reminded me of the Nolan situation under Megson. Wasn't at his best and was better to leave at the time. Again, Megson arguably contributed to his form. 

I’d of had Megson out over Nolan any day of the week. Was sat in tv21 in Manchester and was gutted when it was announced.

Where can you see him playing and who drops? 

I don’t personally see Gomez as anything like Dapo as a player. Dapo loved to get wide and come inside whereas Gomez seems to be predominantly more comfortable centrally. Actually I’d have loved for us to have both. I think it was Ian’s messing about with Dapo trying to convert him into something he wasn’t and didn’t want to be that was the problem. Fine, we accept that Ian has to build the team shape he needs but I do think we miss Dapo and could still have accommodated him within the setup rather than lose him altogether.

To fit in our set up, he'd be in for Sheehan you'd expect. Or Dempsey if his back injury needs time out to get better.

He can play centrally but he's played most of his career as a winger

For every moment of magic he produced, he was anonymous for many games and often ran into blind alleys but at least he tried stuff even though he lost the ball a lot, however I wasn't too depressed when he left. We got decent money too.

Current squad is small and the players brought in haven't played too much so we really need to show a but of patience although I'm unimpressed with the strikers ATM but that will change in January. Not convinced Young is the answer though even though he's doing great on loan at Swindon so far.

Rumour Jerome will join coaching staff and we'll look to bring in Jake Young from Bradford (currently on loan at Swindon) in January. Just a rumour doing the rounds ATM though.
