I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

Patronising drivel.

As football fans we all understand the passion felt within the game.

If you're prepared to want your team to lose so your rival also suffers, then perhaps you're not the fan you think you are.

Fucking ell are you ok? Chill the fuck out you grumpy fucker.

The silence there last was deafening.

You can only speak for yourself and yourself only.

Clearly 60k spurs fans last night, that didn't make a peep in that second half thought differently than you.

They obviously have a deep rooted hatred of their rival more than you  yourself has for your rival. Who today seems everyone one here.

Talksport was loaded yesterday with spurs fans all saying the same. The hosts, the callers plus all those fans in the ground felt the same hence the atmosphere.

Just because you don't understand it doesn't mean it didn't happen and they don't feel that way.

about scraps he's had with Arsenal

dunno why, but I've never been able to envisage that Arsenal have a game set of lads that will mob up to fight anyone

not like Spurs, West Ham, Chelsea, Millwall etc

I suspect their main boozers get taken every big home game and their fans simply go somewhere else for a pint

Me neither

But there's a park or field near Highbury and Islington Station and that's where they would meet up apparently

He is an old hooligan so maybe back in the Highbury days it was different

Stop being so patronising 😁

Spurs fans' treatment of Sol Campbell was just bantz. There's not any proper hatred or anything.

Sol should have done what Oli Mcburnie did to those gobby fans

Harry Kane was an Arsenal fan growing up but they forget that one

Read Steaming in by Colin Ward and Cass Pennants first book.

Arsenal were absolute top dogs in the  70s.

The incongruous bit isn't being being OK with Arsenal being turned over but that Spurs still had some skin in the game themselves. If they were 12th or something it's entirely reasonable.

Postecoglou has managed Celtic. So it's not like excessive rivalry is alien to him.

That was probably bored cabbie drivers sat outside Kings Cross waiting for a fare

We played them 1979/80 in the FA Cup. They brought a huge mob, came late, run  Bolton down to the back of the Lever End. Cant remember them bringing many in the league games though in those days.

Saw an interesting question of would he have called out Celtic fans for same thing?

I hope it is pissing down at OT tonight then the whole world can see the state of their fucked up shit hole, fucking tramps

Amazing they finished the game, when you look at Cambridge for example, which hardly got a sniff. I suppose it was late in the game (unlike Cambridge).

Well that was a pen for Newcastle

Nah two lads are allowed to clatter through one man and rip his achilles off.

I long for the day that Celtic fans are cheering goals against them because it means someone else will win the league instead of Rangers, but I won’t hold my breath.

I remember Stoke fans cheering after Julian Darby scored against them.

After the game I got a slap near the old Norweb place on Manny Road walking to Farnworth off some hairy arsed cocknee geezer.  My eye came up like a pudding. When I got in, all my mum and dad could do was take the piss.

I can't remember Brighton winning a single game this season :D

Was this the year we sacked greaves, poss after winning the round before?

The Arsenal game was the fifth round, the previous round was Halifax at home, I think he was sacked around that time.

No idea about Gowling.

Yep. Sacked the week after the Halifax cup win. Not that beeting them was exactly a high water mark.

Gowling DID go to centre-half for a number of games. It didn't seem like a big deal tbh.

Halifax had beaten City in the 3rd round.  There was talk of a shock on the cards as we were playing crap at the time. They also brought over a very tidy mob too.
