Cheering isnt the word, they went mental , never seen anything like it before or since. Both sets of fans singing each others songs and the Burnden Terrace singing Delilah .

Spent the last 7 mins of the game and the next 15 mins after with gob akimbo. slightly different circumstances I know, as stoke had already gone up as champions.

Season after they was a letter in the Stoke fanzine basically saying how amazing the night was and how wonderful it was to come away from Burnden Park not needing plastic surgery afterwards.
