I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

And it didn't get any better. That last ten mins was like a Rugby match, kick and rush :D

Standard of the prem is as low as it's ever been. Very entertaining like but fuck me it's so poor.

I agree, there's some absolute muck in that league to

Although it's consistent across the board for me, players aren't what they were

Easy game for the scousers

No heart.

So like us at the end of Evatt's time, but on a higher plane.

Appeared beaten before kick off.

Reckon Pep has the ability to reinvent his team for next season though, and they'll probably qualify for the champion's league anyway.

This is the worst premier league in 20+ years

Be embarrassed to celebrate winning it.

Saw Como beat Napoli, was having a look into them, had no idea they are managed by Cesc Fabregas and have Thierry Henry and Dennis Wise involved in the background

Luca Modric goal against Girona last night was sensational. What a player that lad has been and still is.

Little time for the other two so hope Los Blancos piss it.

Sky sports showing a very similar goal by Modric against us

I interestingly like the pattern you can see that Barcelona have won and lost the most with the highest goal difference

Whilst Atletico have won and lost the least with the smallest goal difference

Says a lot about the styles of play

Certainly does. Simeones teams have always been difficult to play against. Masters of shithousery which is no real surprise is it?

Draws kill you, basically. Better to win one and lose one than draw two.

Take away the draws and Atletico are 2.647ppg, Madrid are 2.526ppg and Barca are 2.318ppg

aye, looking more into it, seems Wise left after the way he didn't like them handle a complaint of racism against them, and the direction Fabregas wanted to take the team in

love the ground as well

Absolute freak of a player

The greatest prem player of all time

He's certainly up there for me.

Not sure he's above Henry, Rooney and Ronaldo mind.

If he wins another title that puts him level on 2 with Henry so there's a case to be argued there

If he wins a 3rd he's level with Ronaldo

Needs to win 5 to tie with Rooney

Or Wes Brown.

Which shows this is a flawed argument.

Mo isn't a striker either

Not really

Medals aren't the only criteria

There's plenty others

Including appearances and contributions from their position

In 14 seasons Brown only played 30+ games once and 20+ 4 times so clearly not a first choice key player

But you're going to need more than one title to be considered a better forward than Henry, Rooney and Ronaldo

The prem's leading scorer only won 1 title.

So It can't be disputed he's the best goal scorer the PL has seen

All round Player, yes

I would have thought its largely irrelevent to the argument of 'player x' is better than 'player y' due to player x's teammates, and management being better than player y's.

Those Ronaldo, Shearer, Salah or Rooney ? Shite, never won the world cup, but Giroud has.

Which is why you don't go with just medals

There's an element of subjectivity to it also which is what makes for the discussion

And there isn't necessarily a right answer, you just have to be able to back up your opinion

Which is why it's not Giroud

Was a hard one to call between Ronaldo and Messi but reckon that got settled when Messi led Argentina to the World Cup

Aye the best generally play for the best and win the most things.

Alan Shearer is an exception to the rule and probably why he will never be revered as a world class superstar.

They're also first names on the team sheet unlike Brown and Giroud

Squad games mean loads of bit part and back up players end with medals

They're obviously good

But not the greatest

As an aside

Giroud is France's all time top scorer and won a WC

Whilst Henry won a WC and was top scorer for them with 3 in 98 but was unknown going into it, wasn't first choice, then didn't even start or get on the pitch in the final

So you can use that if you want to argue who France's greatest all time player is
