With Brum and Wrexham coming up a loss tonight for Orient is a must for us. Our season is over in mid-February. Thanks very much Leyton Orient. Kids are crying. 😡 Quote
TrickyTrotter Posted February 18, 2025 Posted February 18, 2025 Stansfield stretchered off for Brum. Another curse of the Pizza/EFL/Vertu Cup. Looking like pens in this game. Quote
marple whites Posted February 18, 2025 Posted February 18, 2025 Looked good orient, quick on the break and strong. wrexham lost their way after orient went 2-1 up. really need to win Saturday after tonight’s games Quote
Lt. Aldo Raine Posted February 18, 2025 Posted February 18, 2025 That's quite a statement win Hopefully, we bring them back down to earth Quote

Take Hunt Off Posted February 18, 2025 Posted February 18, 2025 Wrexham were absolutely shite . Orient varied their game and were quick on the break via Randall & Kellman. Pratley , who I never rated , had a good game but got sent off . Not sure that’s a good thing or a bad thing. Anway won’t be easy & plenty of goals again I think. Good test for us , see where we actually are in the pecking order. Quote
London Wanderer Posted February 18, 2025 Posted February 18, 2025 Saturday feels even more massive against Orient now. I'm not convinced Wycombe will be consistent either, despite their win. Love this time of the season when its all to play for. COYW Quote
gonzo Posted February 19, 2025 Posted February 19, 2025 That Kellman is superb. Get him fuckin nailed early doors. Quote
tomski Posted February 19, 2025 Posted February 19, 2025 Think the fixtures we have coming up are perfect. WE need to do the damage to the teams around us, starting Sat. We’ve shown that we no longer have to roll over and lie on our belly’s for the better teams. Imagine this being the year we finally win up at the satsumas too. First into Orient though, Quote

Big test thus Saturday and if we can pass that there’s no reason we can’t push on in the other two as well. Quote

Kelman’s coming good but still some way from breaking into QPR’s first team yet, hence the loan, but he hasn’t been massively prolific in his career to date. Still needs to be watched because he’s very direct and can finish hence my comment about him on the Orient thread the other day. The one that worries me is Perkins though - seems to have boundless energy. Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted February 19, 2025 Posted February 19, 2025 Plenty have been saying Wycombe will falter, but so far they've maintained their push. Quote

Aside from Birmingham and maybe Wrexham they have been the only truly consistent side this season, everyone else has gone through a patch of poor results. They did have a few home games where they struggled to score (even against an IE team) but they haven't dipped properly all season. And some would have us believe they lost their best player to us in January! Looking at their strikers, consistency and away form, I'd be amazed if they don't finish 2nd, bearing in mind what some have said that everyone else is a bit crap anyway, who are these teams that will beat them? SS has had 2 games against teams above the bottom 6 or so, and its two 1-0 defeats so far. I'm looking forward to seeing how SS approaches these next 3 games and how his in-game management is. As you say, rolling over/giving the initiative to the opposition in bigger games is hopefully a thing of the past. Quote

Johnnyrotten Posted February 19, 2025 Posted February 19, 2025 Just seen Bradford's goal at Birmingham last night. Further to the Sarcevic chat last week, that cross he put in has to be one of the crosses of the season at this level. He was even seen to sprint about 25 yards up the right wing, then put it on a plate for the striker who couldn't miss, wicked ball. Quote

They've turned over the top teams. Beating them was a significant victory. Basing it on league position alone hides the reality. Quote
Zico Posted February 19, 2025 Posted February 19, 2025 Early on but city just spent first 4 minutes chasing shadows before a long direct ball up the middle cut them right open Mbappe on fire Quote
