I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

Pep took his eye off the ball with this City team. Shit robots.

Shrewsbury arguably the most improved team in recent weeks. They've turned over the top teams.

Beating them was a significant victory.

Basing it on league position alone hides the reality.

I agree, and I was making that point before we played them, they are in good form (lost last 2 homes now though!).  But there are different levels of tough and I don't think many would put Shrewsbury in the category of game that we've struggled in under IE.

I'd rather go to Shrewsbury next week than Wrexham, Orient, Wigan, Blackpool, Stockport.

SS has had 2 games against teams above the bottom 6 or so, and its two 1-0 defeats so far.

Youve plenty history of gymnastics to justify your stats, but this is gold medal standard

Bravo

Wait until we've played them maybe?

For a brief moment we hadn't scored away under SS- approaching sacking time that.

I think we need a bit more evidence than JD's win at Huddersfield.

I'm looking forward to seeing how SS approaches these next 3 games and how his in-game management is.

As you say, rolling over/giving the initiative to the opposition in bigger games is hopefully a thing of the past.

To be fair to Johnny, I think the essence of his post is about needing to see more evidence and the wish being this (rolling over for the better teams) is hopefully a thing of the past.

Although @Johnnyrotten we’ve only played 2 outside the bottom 4 under SS, Reading and Northampton, won one, lost one and you can’t discount Huddersfield just because it was JD as this team need to be judged post Evatt.

…Unless you were counting Wrexham in the EFL trophy… surely not 😂

But I agree these next 3 games will be very interesting, not just for results (which I’m tempering optimism for) but for seeing our approach, temperament, character etc.

Couldn't agree more, and no I wouldn't be counting Wrexham personally, but plenty will and especially if we'd won such a low key game.

I don't get the difficulty of understanding that we need to see more evidence, how is it even a debate.

But some take it as criticism of the manager 🤔  I've said plenty to show how much I'm behind SS, he's a breath of fresh air, I'm confident he'll succeed here and he's a great bloke as well.

Has he proved we'll turn up and compete against the the better teams?  Apparently yes in some people's eyes.

Anyway @desperado, you get it, good post.

Another one!

Sign him on as a replacement for Vic?

Who’s this Arfield chap, maybe we should have had a punt 😂

40m in Leicester 0 - 3 Brentford.

Tell me Van Nistelrooy is only contracted for this season.

Copper jogged past me today with the words "ey up !"

Play some ace stuff Brentford.

Just flicked Burnley Sheff Weds on. Barry Bannan still running the show.

He's not running much tonight

Burnley are very impressive

Just popped it on

Is that maghoma centre mid?

Can’t be. Maghoma is bang average. League 1 at best - def not premiership.

Just been looking at the table

Sheff Utd won the most games

Burnley lost the least

Leeds top

Tight as fuck

They'll all get relegated if they go up

Clarets were far too slow to start and lucky not to concede but once they turned the pace up they were different class and Wednesday couldn’t live with them. It’s going right to the wire this one and I wouldn’t count Sunderland out yet either.

Would have been a very soft penalty for Everton but VAR choosing not to show the referee the replay which showed the most obvious pull of the shirt is just so wrong.

Yes that’s the angle they didn’t bother to show the referee
