I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

I didn't even know malta had a football team until this news

We had the Maltese Falcon.

I ate a packet of them once.... Do I qualify?

Just looked at the 8 teams in contention

Birmingham are champions not matter what

Looking like either Wycombe or Wrexham for second place.

We will have to step up our game a lot to get 6th place but it’s possible (really can’t see us getting any higher)

So if we did manage to scape in it is likely to be either Wycombe or Wrexham we would face in the playoffs; for me I would prefer Wycombe because we would get more tickets and wouldn’t have to that shit hole again

Although I fancy us more against Wycombe

Been to their national stadium (Ta Qali) after visiting the home of Sir Stanley Matthews in Marsaxlokk. Not to watch their national team though.

The draw was watching the Wanderers (Sliema not Bolton) against Hibernian in their Cup Final. Unfortunately the Hibees won 2-0 and landed a domestic cups double which was (apparently) quite a feat in Malta.

Missus was pissed off. Not at the Wanderers losing. At having to attend 'bloody football' during her hols :D

What are the odds Palace fans will turn up wearing ear patches like that for their next game?

I did the same with my missus, booked a weeks holiday in Malta and on Friday I said we're on a trip tonight to the football stadium, to be fair there were 6 couples and we all had tickets courtesy of a mate with links to the Maltese FA

When we played there 2 years ago I let my 2 tickets go (from the Maltese FA), to a Bolton fan who sold them on

That Ben Toner needs capital punishment for not sending off the full back last week and turning down the nailed on penalty

The ref today in the Stockport Wrexham match came from Bolton said the Stockport commentators should have sent McLean off but didn’t they said it was a very dodgy penalty to Wrexham as well

It was a dodgy penalty and they are right McLean should have got a straight red card like the Stockport player should last week

No idea what you are saying.

Ref was from Bolton ?

Mclean should have had a straight red ?

The penalty was dodgy ?

No idea if he was
