Watching the Wycombe Charlton match. Christ, it's terrible. Last years team of ours was so far ahead of these two, it's shocking how far we've fallen that we finished well behind this.

Yes, just awful the ball spent more time in the air than on the ground. Two very average teams and probably shows how bad we’ve been this year. That said the Orient v County match was excellent so it was probably just the pressure tonight that got to the teams? Surely they can’t be this bad in the next game?

My only caveat to the above is that both teams can slug it out & defend well.

Think we went down on goal difference with 40 points. If i remember rightly we just had to match Evertons result to stay up. I think they ended up drawing at home to Coventry, we lost, the rest is history!

went down on goal difference with 40 points and -20 GD

when we stayed up (by 4 points) first season back with Alladyce we stayed up with 40 and -18

when we stayed up on last day the following season, we had 44pts -10GD and West Ham went down with 42pts -17GD

when we stayed up with one game to go / last day under Megson we had 37pts -18

when we finally got relegated we were 3rd bottom with 36pts

I'm not checking now, but this season and last season, I'm pretty sure it's the only time none of the bottom 3 got past 30 points

Saw the incident, but didn't know about the surgery.

Happened on the opening day at Wycombe to Josh Earl the first season the rule had been brought in. One of only 4 (?) players over the age of 19 playing and he gets injured about 5 minutes in, stretching for a ball that was offside but no flag.
