December 18, 2025Dec 18 One of the Luton fans having a right go at the players and another fan smashes him in the head on camera
December 18, 2025Dec 18 Happy with that. Their bubble has burst and it would be stretch to catch up and challenge for top 2 given their extra games. The fewer challengers the better. Just need Bradford/Lincoln/Stevenage to start slipping when the games come thick and fast and hope that Stockport don’t find another gear!

December 18, 2025Dec 18 Watched the Strasbourg game. A few familiar names playing for them from the PL like Ben Chilwell, Enciso etc.
December 18, 2025Dec 18 9k fans at reading tonight. That really is abysmal. Nice to see that gap to 7th opening up

See it as picking off opponents, one at a time

I always associate it with Fulham and West Ham but there's a long list of the clubs Liam and his dad played for. Hull, Brighton, Charlton, Bristol City, Ipswich, Reading etc. Lad seems to be doing well. Has them on the cusp of a European qualifying place. A shame Strasbourg is associated with EU trough snouts. Interesting place. Maison Kamerzell was a fine meal. Plastered with framed photographs of wrong uns like von der Liar these days but understandable I suppose. No doubt they put millions of hard earned EU blue collar worker euros over the bar and into the dining coffers.

December 19, 2025Dec 19 Two very average teams but thought Randell Williams looked decent and he’s still brilliant on those long throws.

How many do we expect to take to Wycombe on the same basis, although not televised? Edited December 19, 2025Dec 19 by Whitesince63

I was commenting on the overall attendance, which is more a reflection on poor Reading support. A similar home game for us is 20k.

Probably a bit less for a December Thursday night live on TV (tickets sold). Not disputing its a poor crowd at Reading, but they aren't a big club, never been anything like the size of Bolton. Between 1963 and 1998 they never once had an average crowd above 10k and usually more like half that. Then they moved to their new stadium and got a load of new fans overnight, but they are another Wigan. 9k tickets sold is about right for a match like last night, the actual turnout looked a lot lower.

I don't think he could defend well enough or receive the ball well enough for a role in the 2 and isn't attacking enough for any of the roles in the 3. Strange one as I always rated him

Strange one as I always rated him Not for me, for the reasons you say. Parky has him left of a midfield 3 in a 532. It’s not a technical role, it’s a running role, supporting the wingback and getting around the front men and finding himself in positions to either get the ball whipped into Moore or have a shot himself. To be fair to Parky, if you’re going to get the best out of him it’s exactly there. He’s absolutely bought him for his system (although I’ve not exactly been impressed watching this game - granted they’ve generally been under the cosh).
